SHOCKING: Police Parades Pastor Over Human Skull

The police in Ogun state, Nigeria on Tuesday paraded Pastor Michael Oyewole (29) and Mathew Akiode (30) at the command’s headquarters Eleweran, for allegedly exhuming human skull in Sabo, Abeokuta.

The state Commissioner of Police, Ikemefuna Okoye, told journalists that Akiode was caught committing the offence in the midnight.

Okoye added that after Akiode’s arrest, the suspect confessed that he was sent to get the skull by the pastor Oyewole, a pastor at Ona-Ara Mimo Cherubim and Seraphim at Olomore, not far away from the crime scene.

He said, “We got information about somebody who was digging a grave and we swung into action. He did not know he was being watched while removing the corpse".

“We apprehended him immediately he severed the head from the body. He told us that it was one Pastor Oyewole that sent him".

The police commissioner said Pastor Oyewole was subsequently arrested, and that the two suspects would be charged to court after the conclusion of investigations.

Akiode, who confessed to committing the crime said he was pushed into it by economic hardship.

"I used to work on his (pastor’s) site but he said I would make more money if I could get him human skull. So, I felt it was an easy way of making money and that was why I did it".

“I’m surprised at his denial. He taught me how to go about it,” Akiode said.

But Oyewole denied sending the suspect on such a mission.

“I am a man of God and pastor. I heal people in God’s name and not with human skull. He is just telling lies and I don’t know what I have done to him. Only God can save me now,” Oyewole said.

Nigerian Church Bans Towering Headwraps (Gele)

St Theresa's Cathedral Church in Enugu state says it will start confiscating geles “to enable security men to know when a bomb will be smuggled into the church”.

Sensible precaution or massive overreaction?

Churchgoers who wear the large, traditional headgears called geles that seek to reach for the heavens will have their "big headgears" confiscated from next month, the congregation at St Theresa's Cathedral Church in the south-eastern Nigerian state of Enugu has warned. Other churches are debating whether to follow suit.

"In view of the present security challenges the church has urged women to stop coming to Sunday service with big headgears and bags to enable security men to know when a bomb will be smuggled into the church," Reverend Father Uche Obodoechina said, adding that the headwraps made it difficult to identify people.

Capable of towering two feet in gravity-defying folds and arcs of lace or stiff jacquard, geles are the crowning glory of traditional outfits typically worn to church and sometimes seen as status symbols based on size alone. Important occasions – of which weddings and churchgoing remain firm favourites – can prompt intricate geles, usually finished off with stone-encrusted sunglasses and flashy handbags. "Women feel naked without their geles on special occasions," said Lagos-based makeup artist Kadiatou Sangare, who often helps women tie elaborate creations.

The crackdown on geles is one of a series of increasing security measures after Nigeria endured a spate of bomb attacks on churches and mosques from militant Islamist group Boko Haram. This year it has targeted at least six churches in northern and central Nigeria, prompting fears it is trying to ignite a sectarian war among Nigeria's evenly split Muslims and Christians. It has never struck a southern Nigerian state.

The move has divided opinion among churchgoers:

"It's a good thing," said taxi driver Idowu James. "There is no doubt some people carry big handbags to intimidate people lower down the ladder. Frankly, I don't think church is the right place for exercises in fashion parade."
Others see wearing geles to be as inalienable a right as going to church. "I've never heard such a thing and I don't think women in my own church will abide by that. Most of the week we women are working, so Sunday is the only chance to wear geles and dress up," said Lagos resident Grace George. "We want to look our best when we go to church, and you cannot do that if you expose your head."
Other churches have ramped up security as attacks have led to drops in attendance. Many restrict cars from parking in their vicinity during services. In at least two states – Plateau and Kogi – round-the-clock armed guards have been posted outside some churches.

Married Pastor Arrested For Passing On HIV To His Church Members

Pastor Craig Lamar Davis of Full Gospel Baptist Church in Atlanta, Georgia was arrested last month for reckless conduct after police found that he was sleeping with several women.

A woman by the name of Ronita McAfee says that she met the pastor on Facebook and began sleeping with him.

Ronita says that she became concerned when one of the pastor’s ex-girlfriends called her to say that she had HIV. She claims that the pastor then counseled her and told her to get tested. She noticed that the pastor himself was not interested in getting tested, even though she had also contracted HIV. This is what prompted her to seek out a warrant for his arrest.

When the investigation began, another woman in the church leadership stepped forward with her confession about sleeping with Davis.

Many women believe that if a man looks good, then he must be good and fit on the inside. They certainly don't want to investigate the man's HIV status as much as they check the size of his bank account! And men also make the same mistake, since they falsely believe that when a pretty girl offers you sex, you’re supposed to take it without thinking of the magnitude of risks that go with it.

Felicia Rae McClure, a 32-year-old Salt Lake City woman has been jailed after she allegedly tried to sell her 13-year-old daughter’s virginity for $10,000.

According to Salt Lake City police, McClure’s boyfriend contacted authorities after he reportedly found sexually explicit photos of her daughter and text messages regarding sex acts between the girl and an older man on her cell phone.

According to investigations, McClure was attempting to sell her daughter’s virginity to an older gentleman named “Don” for $10,000. The man took McClure and her daughter to Victoria’s Secret, where the teen modelled lingerie for him. McClure took pictures of her daughter in thongs and a bra and sold them to the man. Some of the images showed her bare buttocks. The pictures were also sent to another buyer, named “Will”.
