Company Comes Up With A Bra That Only Unhooks Itself For True Love

true love

It looks like Microsoft's stress-detecting bra won't win the most ridiculous bra award after all.
A company called Ravijour has come up with a bra that - apparently - will only unhook if the woman is in love with the person doing the opening.
Unsurprisingly, the inventors of this bra are male (as with the Microsoft bra) and it leaves us wondering what their obsession is with a garment that they have no
According to BuzzFeed's excellent breakdown of the bra, it was invented to save women from skeevy guys who are only after one thing (or arguably, two things).
Apparently, this bra is cleverer than your own brain because "it knows how women truly feel". (Although here's a secret guys: women do have sex with men they aren't in love with).
true love
How does it work? According to the product designer, "A built in sensor reads the woman’s heart-rate signal and sends it to a special app via Bluetooth for analysis.”
true love
The 'science' behind the bra
Once the bra exceeds the 'True Love Rate' it then unhooks automatically. This may be inconvenient if you're meeting your other half's parents for the first time or making an important presentation at work.
So to sum up - you could wear this bra to tell who you're in love with and who you aren't. Or you could use that vastly superior organ that doesn't look like it got a D in a GCSE science and technology project: your brain.

8 Year old boy hangs himself while trying to re-enact a movie scene

1julianni

Big-hearted 8-year-old Julianni Plascencia (pictured) was found unconscious on the floor in his parent’s room with a scarf wrapped around his neck at one end and tied to a doorknob at the other, after he reportedly tried to re-enact a movie scene, reports News 10.

Julianni of Stockton, Calif., — who is said to have given homeless people he’d see on the street his allowance — reportedly told his brother that he was going to hang himself. The older brother, 14, reportedly thought Julianni was just kidding and threatened to tell their mother about the hanging joke. Meanwhile, the children’s mom, Shfawn, stepped out to quickly pick up a few items from the grocery store.

Julianni had been reportedly playing in his parent’s bedroom, but when the older boy did not hear any noise coming from the bedroom, he went to check on his brother. When he entered the room, he saw Julianni laying unconscious on the floor.

The teen brother immediately called their mother and 911. When Shfawn returned home, she tried to give her baby-faced boy CPR, but her efforts failed. Paramedics also tried to revive the boy as he was being flown to a medical center in Sacramento and were successful in getting his heart started.

But when Julianni arrived at the hospital, he fell in to a coma. Hours later, the child flatlined.

According to Julianni’s dad, Ronnie, his son was probably acting out a TV or movie scene, things went too far, and he just didn’t know how to get himself undone, “He must have been re-enacting something he saw on TV. He probably knew it was dangerous but not the severity of trying it out,” the devastated Dad told News 10.

Police investigators have deemed the case as accidental.

According to Shfawn, who is trying to come to grips with her child’s death, Julianni was a light in this world during his time here, ”Let him be happy in heaven, because I know that’s where he went. His heart was too big for this world.”

PHOTO: Balyelsa 16 yr old girl locked up in a cage for 30 months by her parents over an alleged witchcraft induced illness.

blessing_olokumo

Tongues have begun to wag in Bayelsa following the discovery of a 16-year-old girl, Blessing Olokumo who had been locked up in a cage for the past 30 months by her parents over an alleged witchcraft induced illness.

Saturday Sun gathered that the cage that has housed the victim for two and half years is just by the Niger Delta University Teaching Hospital in Okolobiri community, Yenagoa Local Government Area of the state.  She was rescued from the cage few days ago by the Mary Slessor Twins Foundation.

The group, led by its acting president, Mr Robert Ebitei Tonye, disclosed that preliminary investigations revealed that Blessing was diagnosed with an illness nine years ago which triggered convulsion.

Findings by Saturday Sun revealed that when Blessing was taken to the hospital for medical attention nine years ago, the parents were asked to pay N15, 000 for her treatment. It was further learnt that the father, who said he could not afford such medical bill, requested her to be discharged and signed a form that he was taking her from the hospital against medical advice.

He was said to have later taken her to different traditional homes for her illness to be cured and when no solution was forthcoming, especially when she defecates and vomits in the house, he decided to construct a cage where she was kept.

Concerned neighbours, who have watched in horror the maltreatment Blessing was subjected to, alerted the group known for its campaign against maltreatment of twins in the state.

The first day the group went to the house to rescue her, Tonye said some strange occurrences and the blunt refusal of the father to hand her over, prevented the group from rescuing her. But on its second mission, they succeeded and immediately took her to the Okolobiri hospital.

While lamenting the condition of the teenager, Tonye said:  “She was kept like a rabbit. She was given food when it was available and was allowed to sleep in her vomit, feces and urine. She lost weight and could have died”.

At the Okolobiri hospital where she is kept, many who visited her described her parents’ action as wicked and callous.

Speaking further on the incident, Tonye said: “The father told us that the girl has been sick for 13 years and since she refused to die, she was locked up. We rescued her and took her to the hospital. Our pre-occupation is to stabilize her condition before we ensure we press charges against the parents”

Scared that he could be arrested, it was gathered that Olokumo has already  gone underground. The mother, Mrs Olokumo, who now stays with her at the hospital, lamented that they have spent all their money to get solution to her problem.

According to her, since they could not get money to get her proper medical attention, they decided to give up and she allowed the father to handle it.

Dr Oyedeji Adeyemi of the NDUTH, who is attending to her, explained that her case is that of seizure disorder which was not properly treated.

The case is principally a case of a child having a seizure disorder in what some people would call epilepsy which in technical terms is seizure disorder which was not treated appropriately. Rather than give her medical attention, she was kept out of the house, sort of restricted environment and barely fed which had over time led to malnutrition”, Adeyemi stated.

Some civil society groups have already concluded plans to give all the necessary support to the Mary Slessor Twins Foundation to see that Blessing’s parents do not go free for the act of inhumanity to their own child.

Deadlier Than AIDS: Scientists Discover New Antibiotic-Resistant STD That Kills Within Days

A new sexually transmitted super-bug has emerged and according to experts, may be more deadly that AIDS  and could cause an epidemic.

Capture

According to reports, an antibiotic-resistant strain of gonorrhea is more aggressive than the HIV virus, which means the potential to infect the public will be greater.

This strain of STD which is resistant to antibiotic, reportedly kills half of those exposed and infects one in 20 hospital patients thereby raising the threat of an outbreak to emergency levels.

Alan Christianson, a doctor of naturopathic medicine, thinks this new strain has the power to rack up more fatalities than AIDS.

He said, “Getting gonorrhea from this strain might put someone into septic shock and death in a matter of days,” adding that it is very dangerous.

Also speaking, executive director of the National Coalition of STD Directors, William Smith said, “It’s an emergency situation. As time moves on, it’s getting more hazardous.”

Like most STDs, gonorrhea is usually transmitted through unprotected sexual contact and if left untreated, can cause severe medical complications, such as infertility in women, debilitating pain, sterility in men and life threatening heart infections.

Mary J. Blige's Father Stabbed During Fight With Ex-Girlfriend

Mary J. Blige

Mary J. Blige's father was stabbed in the neck following a domestic dispute at his apartment early this morning, theHuffington Post reports.

Thomas Blige, 63, of Battle Creek, Mich., was left in critical condition after he was attacked by an ex-girlfriend at 6:53 a.m.

The victim was reportedly studying for a college class when he heard noise outside his window, and found the woman slicing his tires. He was stabbed after going out to verbally confront her.

His roommate, Michael Thomas, told a local news station that he called 911 after Blige — bleeding and holding his neck — made his way back into the unit. He was transported to Bronson Battle Creek, and later Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo, where he underwent surgery.

Police found what they believe to be the knife used in the attack inside Blige's kitchen. The ex was arrested on attempted murder charges in her own apartment nearby.

Prior to today's altercation, authorities responded to seven domestic dispute calls between Blige and his 50-year-old former companion.

In October, she was charged with aggravated domestic violence for hitting Blige over the head with a glass candlestick. She was given six months probation in the case, and ordered to have "non assaultive" contact with Blige.

Blue Diamond 'Worth Tens Of Millions' Discovered In South Africa

Blue Diamond 'Worth Tens Of Millions' Discovered

A massive diamond with a possible price tag of more than £36m has been discovered at a mine in South Africa.

The 29.6 carat blue diamond, described as being "exceptional", was dug up at the Cullinan mine near Pretoria - owned by Petra Diamonds.

Chief executive Johan Dippenaar said: "The stones in the last year or so are selling well above $2m (£1.2m) per carat. That's not my quote, that's updates in the market."

However, analyst Cailey Barker at brokers Numis said it could expect to fetch less - between $15m (£9m) and $20m (£12m) - at auction.

The mine, owned by the firm since 2008, was also where the Cullinan Diamond was found in 1905 - described as the largest rough gem diamond ever recovered and weighing 3,106 carats.

Other notable diamonds found in the mine include a 25.5 carat Cullinan blue diamond, found in 2013 and sold for $16.9m (£10m), and a diamond found in 2008, known as the Star of Josephine, which was sold for $9.49m (£5.7m).

Democrats say women need government to 'control their libido'

Mike Huckabee by Gage Skidmore 2.jpg

Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee says that Democrats are pushing women to believe “they cannot control their libido or their reproductive system without the help of the government.”

The onetime presidential candidate made the comments to the Republican National Committee’s Winter Meeting in Washington D.C.

"If the Democrats want to insult women by making them believe that they are helpless without Uncle Sugar coming in and providing for them a prescription each month for birth control because they cannot control their libido or their reproductive system without the help of the government, then so be it," he said. "Let us take this discussion all across America because women are far more than the Democrats have played them to be."

“And women across America need to stand up and say ‘Enough of that nonsense,'" he added.

Huckabee dismissed the notion that the GOP is engaged on a "War on Women," as Democratic rivals allege.

"Our party stands for the recognition of the equality of women and the capacity of women. That’s not a war on them, it’s a war for them," he said.

Republicans have been grappling with how to reach out to women, who overwhelmingly supported President Barack Obama over Mitt Romney in 2012. Women chose Obama over Romney 55-44 percent.

Asked about the comments, White House press secretary Jay Carney said he had not yet seen the remark but that it "sounds offensive to me, and to women."
