Eight months pregnant Alicia Keys shows off baby bump as she debuts her new song 'We Are Here'

Alicia Keys posted a nude photo of her pregnant tummy on Saturday with a peace sign painted on it to help promote the #WeAreHere Movement, a charitable campaign she recently spoke with the New York Times about.
She was at the Social Good Summit at 92Y in New York City where she performed her new song ' We are here' on stage. Alicia's nude baby bump photo was shown at Day 1 of the two-day event.

Netropolitan is a new social network set up by 48-year-old James Touchi-Peters. The major difference between Netropolitan and other networking sites is that it takes a whooping sum of $9000 to join the site...and there is an additional annual fees of $3000.
Founder, James Touchi-Peters, wanted a social network filled with people he could relate to and describes it as the "online country club for people with more money than time" , providing a "completely private and secure" online socialising.

Members get a private, encrypted and completely ad-free social network. They also have to agree not to divulge the identities of other members to non-members and not to take screenshots of fellow members' profiles.

Beyonce and Jay Z have reportedly held a 'commitment ceremony' during their family break in Corsica after much media speculation about divorce.

A source tells Grazia magazine: 'They were joined on a private beach by Beyoncé's mum Tina, their daughter Blue Ivy and a small group of close friends and recited a new set of vows during a short but very romantic ceremony, which doubled up as a birthday celebration.

'The small wedding party celebrated with drinks and food made by the couple's private chef. Afterwards, they rented a luxury $500,000 a yacht to cruise around Italy, which they have been calling their second honeymoon.

'From now on, they intend to mark the day of the ceremony as their new wedding anniversary and have told friends they are focusing firmly on their future together.'

Nicole Kidman's dad dies after falling in Singapore

Antony Kidman, Nicole Kidman's father has reportedly died at a hospital after a fall in Singapore this morning.

The fall occurred after he finished his morning exercise at the Tanglin Club, a prominent social club in Singapore, while visiting his younger daughter Antonia, according to local media reports.

Dr Antony Kidman was a clinical psychologist at Sydney's Royal North Shore Hospital.

John Bardon who played 'Jim Branning' of Eastenders passes away aged 75

 John Bardon, who played Dot’s husband, Jim Branning, from 1996 to 2011 has died aged 75.

According to BBC, everyone at EastEnders is devastated that much loved actor, John has sadly passed away. 

 

'Jim Branning'  fell in love with 'Dot' and married her in 2002.

Jim suffered a stroke in 2007, a storyline created to account for his own off-screen illness. When he was well enough to return to EastEnders, he continued to feature in the show until 2011 when he left Walford to be cared for in a nursing home.

 

 

“I am so sorry that John has passed away but hope that he is now at peace after seven difficult years,”  June Brown MBE told BBC. “I shall miss him very much as I loved him dearly.  My thoughts are with his devoted wife, Enda.”

“I’m absolutely gutted,” added Perry Fenwick, who plays Billy. “John was a lovely, lovely man to work with. I’ll miss him”. 

 Natalie Cassidy, who plays Sonia said “I never had a real granddad so John was like an actual granddad to me. He was a lovely man and I learnt a lot from him.”

 

Oscar Pistorius found GUILTY of Manslaughter

Oscar Pistorius has been found GUILTY of manslaughter after he shot his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp on valentines day last year.

He would be sentenced at the discretion of the Judge, and could get up to 15 year jail term or escape jail with a community service order.

Oscar Pistorius found not guilty of murder

Oscar Pistorius has been found not guilty of the murder of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp.

Judge Thokozile Masipa said that there are not enough evidence to support the prosecution case that it was a premeditated murder.
She however said he may be guilty of manslaughter, and has adjourned verdict on manslaughter charge until Friday.

Clarence House has confirmed via twitter the news that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are expecting baby number 2.

The Twitter announcement said:

 “The Queen and members of both families are delighted with the news that Their Royal Highnesses are expecting their second child”

PHOTOS: Joan Rivers' journey to her final resting place begins

Joan River’s coffin was taken out of the Frank E. Campbell funeral home in New York City and to a crematorium in New Jersey after a private service on Sept. 6, according the New York Post.


Melissa Rivers, 46, and son Cooper Endicott, 13, tearfully watched as the coffin containing their beloved mother and grandmother, Joan Rivers, 81, was taken away. Cooper stood by his mother’s side as she kissed her mother’s coffin in a touching goodbye.

A larger funeral will be held Sept. 7 at Temple Emanu-El in Manhattan. Joan had already planned her own funeral in her 2012 book I Hate Everyone… Starting With Me where she wrote exactly what she wanted for her funeral.
Joan wanted all the lights, cameras, action of Hollywood and will have a red carpet at her funeral, a source told Us Weekly. Joan’s family and friends will walk the red carpet before it is buried alongside her.

Dunnes Stores have recalled a batch of their own brand "My Family Favourites: Easy Cook Rice" due to infestation of rice weevils.

Contaminated packets will have the code 14 122 and a best-before date of May 2, 2016.

Dunnes Stores have urged those affected to return the rice to their local Dunnes supermarket.

NBA legend Shaquille O'Neal applies to be a police officer

According to Monique O. Madan of the Miami Herald, NBA legend Shaquille O'Neal applied to become a reserve police officer.

Shaq has to undergo physical and psychological testing as well as a background check in order to be accepted.

"If he passes, he will then have to do everything else to be certified by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, just like any of our other officers, reserve or not reserve," city spokeswoman Christina Baguer said.
