“The Agbado Division had a distress call that a man had pushed his wife into a deep pit; we quickly rushed to the scene where the victim was met dead in the pit.

“The suspect was immediately apprehended and we are still interrogating him; he will be charged to court as soon as we are done with our investigations,” Okoye said.

SHOCKING: 10-Year-Old Shoots Sister, Kills Himself: Cops

Deputies said a 10-year-old boy shot his 15-year-old sister multiple times and then shot and killed himself on Thursday night.

Both children were rushed to Hermann Memorial Hospital in Houston, according to the Huntsville Item. Coby Tucker was pronounced dead on arrival while his sister Ashley Tucker underwent surgery for multiple gunshot wounds and was listed in stable condition.

Deputies have yet to establish a motive for the shooting.

"The 10-year-old gained access to a handgun, he walked into the 15-year-old's room and discharged the weapon multiple times in the direction of his sister," Det. Gregory Williams said, according to KPRC.

Click2Houston reports that officials have not said whether the children's parents will face any charges. Deputies have never been called to the family's home before.

“There is no reason for us to believe that this was a case of negligence by the parents,” Walker County Sheriff Clint McRae said, according to the Item. “The firearm was in a secure safe, but the boy was somehow able to gain access. This is a terrible tragedy that happened and our thoughts are with the family.”

Malala Yousafzai: police question hospital 'well-wishers'

Pair stopped at Birmingham trauma centre treating Pakistani girl who Taliban shot after she campaigned for education rights

Two people have been questioned by police after they turned up at a hospital wanting to see Malala Yousafzai, the Pakistani schoolgirl who the Taliban shot in the head because she campaigned for the right to be educated, police said.

Malala, 14, arrived at Queen Elizabeth hospital, in Birmingham, on Monday after travelling on a special air ambulance from Pakistan.

West Midlands police described the visitors who turned up at the hospital as "well-wishers". A spokeswoman said: "They were stopped in a public area of the hospital and questioned by police, who recorded their details and advised the pair that they would not be allowed to see her. No arrests were made and at no point was there any threat to Malala."

The hospital's medical director, Dr Dave Rosser, said that "a number of people turned up claiming to be members of Malala's family, which we don't believe to be true". He said the people in question had been arrested, but police issued a statement clarifying that no one had been detained.

Malala was shot at point-blank range last Tuesday after a gunman clambered into the back of a van full of her classmates. She rose to prominence in 2009 after writing a BBC blog describing the terror of living under the Taliban insurgency in Pakistan's Swat valley. The attack on her triggered worldwide condemnation and sent shockwaves through Pakistani society.

"Malala's bravery in standing up for the right of all young girls in Pakistan to an education is an example to us all," said the foreign secretary, William Hague.

A spokesman for Pakistan's military said Malala would require "prolonged care to fully recover from the physical and psychological effects of the trauma that she has received". That is likely to include the partial rebuilding of her skull and "intensive neuro-rehabilitation".

The Queen Elizabeth is one of Britain's 16 major trauma centres specialising in treating severe gunshot wounds and major head injuries. The Foreign Office said the Islamabad government was bearing the costs of transportation and treatment.

Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), the militant group that has said it shot her, has threatened to attempt to kill her again if she recovers.

A Downing Street spokesman said on Monday that "security has been taken into account", but gave no specific details. Rosser said the hospital and West Midlands police were "comfortable with the levels of security".

Police Confirms Aluu4 Were Set Up

The murder of four University of Port Harcourt students by a mob in Aluu community in Rivers State has so far been justified by some people who believed the victims were actually criminals, but a statement by the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Abubakar has confirmed one of the stories we’ve heard about what went down in Aluu community the day the four UNIPORT students were murdered.

In a statement yesterday where the IGP excused the police’s non-intervention in the murder despite getting to the scene on time, he said the victims were not robbers, but they were set up by a man named Coxson Lelebori Lucky who was owing one of the victims an undisclosed sum of money.

Coxson Lelebori Lucky, the mastermind along with 21 suspects have already been arrested by the police.

Now that it has been confirmed that the victims were not robbers and one of them was actually owed, how do you plead for justifying their murder?
