South African arrested with 'nephew's genitals in his wallet'

A man in South Africa has been arrested after he was found to be carrying genitals in his wallet - thought to be those of his missing nephew.

A police spokesperson told the BBC that after his arrest, the man took officers to a forest in Eastern Cape province where a mutilated body was found.

The teenager's head, arms and legs had been chopped off and were found not far from his torso, he said.

The 42 year old is expected to be charged with murder.

The man was questioned as he was suspected of involvement in the disappearance of his 18-year-old nephew, who had gone missing from the town of Ngcobo on Sunday.

Police spokesperson Mzukisi Fatyela said the genitals were found packed inside his wallet.

He said the motive for the killing and mutilation was not known but an investigation was under way.

When asked whether it could be linked to a "muti" killing, when witchdoctors use body parts in their potions, Mr Fatyela said: "We can't say that with certainty at the moment but the police are investigating all possibilities."

There have been widespread reports in South Africa of the illicit sale of human body parts for such purposes.

In East Africa, scores of people with albinism have been killed for their body parts in recent years.

The arrested man is expected to appear in court on Friday.

New Mom Names Newborn Twins Barack Obama And Mitt Romney (PHOTO)

Millicent Owuor, a 20-year-old woman on Wednesday morning, gave birth to twins in south-west Kenya. She named one brother Barack Obama and the other Mitt Romney, Kenya's Standard newspaper reported.
The new mom posed for a photo holding both babies, Barack wrapped in white and Mitt in navy blue. (Story continues below photo.)

The BBC reported that Owuor gave birth close to the village of Kogelo where President Obama's father was born. While she was preparing to deliver twins, the village was celebrating the president's reelection. According to Reuters, there were several babies born at the nearby hospital who were named after Obama. But, it appears only one has a brother named Mitt Romney.

Wow! What a way to unite those two together! She should get herself ready for hot debates in the house!!

KENYA - Young Girl Drugged And Raped By Man She Met On Facebook

The girl pictured below claims she met a man on Facebook and both arranged for a friendly date after one month of lovey dovey inbox messages.

The man picked her up in a Range rover car and drove to upmarket westlands for a drink. She decided to have red bull since that was their first time of meeting and didn't want to leave a bad impression.
During their date, she excused herself and went to the loo, that was when the man drugged the red bull she was drinking.

The girl only remembers being drowsy and someone dragging her to the car. She was half awake but still weak when the man together with other assailants raped her repeatedly. She lost count of the number of times she was raped.

She only came back to her senses when good samaritans found her in Umoja 2, Kenya in a very bad state.
The girl said her vagina was sore and couldn't walk properly.
She warns females to be very careful about the male friends they meet on Facebook as not all of them have good intentions.

Policeman kills bus conductor for stepping on him

A yet-to-be identified policeman attached to the Alapere Police Division, Ketu, Lagos, on Wednesday allegedly shot and killed a bus conductor for stepping on him.

Eyewitnesses said the policeman was standing at Tipper Bus Stop when the conductor stepped on him.

The eyewitness said, “The policeman was in mufti. He challenged the man on why he stepped on him and could not apologise. I think the victim maintained that he was not going to apologise to him.

“It happened so fast. All we heard was a gunshot and the conductor fell down bleeding profusely.”

According to reports, people in the area immediately tried to swoop on the policeman but did not succeed as he threatened to shoot them.

One of the eyewitnesses said that the policeman also threatened to shoot a riot policeman who challenged him for shooting the conductor.

“But as he was trying to escape, people around followed him and caught him. People were really angry. When they discovered that he was a policeman, riot developed. The rioters wanted to burn down Ketu Police Division,” a police source said.

Policemen soon mobilised to the area to quell the riot and secure the police station.

The police source, who spoke with a Punch correspondent, confirmed that the policeman was from Alapere Police Division but said his name had not been confirmed as at press time.

Multi-Storey department store collapses in Accra, Ghana

A multi-storey department store has collapsed in Ghana's capital, Accra, with many people believed to be trapped inside.

Rescue efforts are under way, with reports that least three people have been killed.

The BBC's Sammy Darko, who is at the scene of the Melcom store collapse, says he has seen one person rescued.

Ghana's President John Dramani Mahama said he has suspended his electoral campaign for next month's poll.

Accra's mayor, Alfred Oko Vanderpuye, is reportedly at the scene in the Achimota neighbourhood of Accra with rescue workers who are trying to clear the rubble.

"I was very close to the mall because I was going to buy something only for me to see the building coming down," resident Ama Okyere told the AFP news agency.

"I had to run for my life. I was so terrified. I believe there are lots of people trapped under this because this is a heavily patronised shopping mall in the area."

Our reporter says it is feared that up to 200 people could be trapped.

President Mahama, in a tweet moments after the building collapsed, said: "My prayers are with the workers, shoppers and others who are trapped in the rubble of the Achimota Melcom building."
