A 10-year-old boy, Chibuike Ogbusu, has been abducted by unknown persons at St. Bartholomew Cathedral Church (Anglican Communion) Kubwa, Abuja.
The young boy had attended the boys brigade rehearsal at the church last Saturday and was about going home when he was abducted and taken to an unknown destination.
Chibuike’s father, Dr. Peter Ogbusu, told Punch Metro on Wednesday that the family had yet to hear from the kidnappers, adding that different people had however been calling to make funny demands and suggestions.
According to him, the boy had gone to the church for rehearsals with three friends and were about coming home, when he was snatched by his abductors.
“After their boys brigade practice, Chibuike’s friends told him they wanted to drink water at a borehole in front of the church, but he told them he was not thirsty. So, the others went to drink while he waited for them, but when the three boys got to where they left Chibuike, they did not see him and they left for their homes, thinking he had gone home. They did not know he had been abducted,” Peter explained.
The optometrist said when the family did not see Chibuike at 7.30pm, they called on his friends on the telephone, who expressed surprise that he had not reached home since he left the church around 6.30pm.
“We then went to the church and searched for him everywhere, but saw no sign of him. The next day being Sunday, it was announced in church that our son was missing and we also went to hospitals, but we didn’t see him. The police are currently investigating his disappearance,” Peter added.
He also said the family had been receiving strange calls from unknown persons with one asking him to deposit N10m and another telling him to come and see a prophet, who would assist him to locate his missing son.
It's the first time she's been spotted out since it was claimed she was on a trial spilt from her hubby, Will Smith, last week.
And Jada, 42, was looking like a whole new woman as she debuted a very dramatic side-shaved do (which is a bit like Willow's) at a charity event at West Hollywood Montage Hotel.
The mum-of-two wore what was left of her long brown locks in a high pony to flaunt her newly-shaved ( bleached-blonde) sides.
Wearing her best smile and a lovely white beaded dress, you'd never have guessed that the gorgeous actress was going through relationship woes as she posed for the cameras at the Make Equality Reality event in Beverly Hills.
We can't decide whether Jada just fancied a new look, or whether, like many of her fellow A-listers, she decided to take her feelings out on her follicles.
Rumours surfaced last week that Jada's 15-year marriage to Men in Black star Will Smith was over.
The Hollywood pair have not been photographed together since August and US websites said they were living separate lives.

It comes after Jada raised eyebrows at a charity event when an audience member claimed she told the crowd: “When you are going through a storm with your spouse... stop thinking about what you ‘believe’ a husband or wife should be.”
A source close to the actors said: “They were considered to have one of the most solid marriages in Hollywood, but lately it hasn’t seemed that way. Things seemed tense for months.”
According to Radar Online, Jada has now moved into brother Caleeb’s LA home. It said Will, 45, is living in New Orleans while he films movie Focus.
Speculation has been mounting since Jada said in an interview in April that Will “can do whatever” he wants. She later said on Facebook: “There are more important things to talk about than whether I have an open marriage.”
She also took children Willow, 13, and Jaden, 15, to Paris without Will and it was reported they had put their home on the market, but a rep denied it.
In 2011, Will and Jada had to defend their marriage over claims she was having a fling with J-Lo’s ex Marc Anthony. The couple’s agents declined to comment.
Police have released a picture of the girl, aged between 14 and 16, who has communicated by drawing pictures which appear to show her being raped
This is the mystery teenage girl found wandering the streets of Dublin who police fear may be the victim of sex trafficking.
Detectives have taken the unprecedented step of publishing a photograph of the child, who is believed to be between 14 and 16 years old.
Despite several weeks of investigation, and following 115 lines of inquiry, detectives in Ireland remain baffled about the identity of the young girl.
The girl was found on Dublin's O'Connell Street - the Irish capital's main shopping thoroughfare - in a dazed state by gardai on a routine afternoon patrol on October 10.
She was taken into care and was initially unable to speak to officers. Instead, she communicated with them by drawing images, which appeared to show her being raped.
Superintendent Dave Taylor said: "This investigation has involved over 2,000 hours, engaging with all the relevant authorities and all the relevant specialists in this area, but unfortunately we have been unable to identify her.
"At the moment we need to find out who this child is."
The girl is described as being 5ft 6in and of slim build with long blonde hair.
She was wearing a purple hooded top, tight dark-coloured jeans, flat black shoes and a grey woollen jumper when found.
It is believed the clothes were bought in major Irish retailers but detectives could not determine when they were purchased.
The girl also has a brace but paediatric orthodontists contacted in Ireland were unable to shed any light on her identity through their records.
Gardai have set up an investigation codenamed Operation Shepard in attempt to establish the girl's identity.
A dedicated telephone line and email address is being manned by officers for any information from the public which can help the inquiry.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the team in Dublin on +353 1 666 8100 or by email at storestreetappealgarda.ie.
In a move never before undertaken, the force went to the High Court last week to seek permission under the Child Care Act to release a photograph of the girl.
Lawyers argued that it was in extraordinary circumstances after the investigation "hit a brick wall".
Mr Taylor said the girl was being well treated under an interim care order by the Health Service Executive (HSE) and Ireland health authorities.
"Obviously we have concerns as to her welfare," he said.
"She was found in a distressed state, she is being cared for very well at the moment by professionals but obviously we're at an impasse at the moment.
"We can't identify her."
The investigation team has called in Interpol, the missing persons bureau, the forensic science laboratory, the domestic violence and sexual assault unit and national immigration authorities.
They have also trawled city centre CCTV footage, contacted social services and homeless shelters, bed and breakfasts, hostels as well as airports and ports throughout the country.
Detectives came up with 15 possible names for their girl through their inquiries but they were "fully checked" and led nowhere.

I did not follow them during the second operation.”Another suspect, Sanni, said they took three vehicles for the operation, but that they did not find anything or any body to rob.
The Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Ngozi Braide, confirmed the incident, stating that it was a follow-up to what happened on November 3, where some robbers attacked policemen attached to Iju Police Station in Lagos at 3a.m.
She said: “On October 9, when a group of armed robbers carted away two police riffles, the Commissioner of Police, Umar Manko, directed the officer in charge of SARS Ikeja, SP Abba Kyari, to launch a massive manhunt for the robbers and recover the snatched rifles.“Police efforts paid off when eight of the armed robbers, led by one Ife Olubaba, a boy to Godogodo, kingpin of South-West armed robbers, were arrested at various locations in Lagos and Ogun states.
“During the exchange of fire between the armed robbers and crack SARS operatives, one Taiye Agege was fatally wounded.”She said all the arrested suspects confessed to have taken part in the Iju operation, where Policemen were fired.
She said efforts were on to arrest the remaining gang members.
