Former X Factor champion, Alexandria Burke was pictured last night (Thursday) as she left Novikov Restaurant and Bar in London after having a meal with family and friends. After the meal Burke rolled off in a Rolls Royce taking her dinner guests who were up for a party to DSTRKT nightclub.

As she headed home, she tweeted: 'Dskrkt Night Club thank you guys 4 making Part1 of my bday so SPECIAL!!! #Part2OnSaturday !!'
She later uploaded another message that read: 'Part 1 of ma bday DUN! #It'sNotEvenMaBirthday....YET!!! lol #Aug25th'.

Well she deserves a bit of fun after all the hard work! and we are looking forward to the part 2 of her birthday tomorrow!

Nollywood Actress Funke Akindele AKA Jenifa Turns 36 Today!

Big shout out to birthday girl, Funke Akindele who turned 36 today!

Akindele Olufunke Ayotunde, popularly known as Jenifa, was born August 24, 1976 in Ikorodu, Lagos State. She is an exceptional Nigerian actress who won the African Movie Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role in 2009. She worked in television before switching to cinema, becoming known for her starring role in the family-oriented Nigerian television show I Need to Know. Akindele’s qualifications include an OND in Mass Communication from the Ogun State Polytechnic and a law degree from the University of Lagos.

Highschool Basketball Star Beats Up Girlfriend Then Faints In Court After Being Sentenced

High school basketball player from Ohio, Tony farmer, was sentenced to three years imprisonment for kidnapping and assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Andrea Lane.
During the sentencing, Tony Farmer seemed so  shocked to hear that he was going to prison and actually fainted in the courtroom.

Nigerian Fashion Designer, Mai Atafo, Wins Top Award At Glitz Africa Fashion Week

 

Nigerian designer, Mai Atafo bagged the Designer of the Year Award at the Glitz Africa Fashion Week held in Ghana over the weekend.

Atafo showcased his impressive collections which included classic men’s suit, bridal wear and evening wear on the final day of the three day event which kicked off on Friday, August 17, 2012.

Other winners included Mina Evans who bagged the ‘Emerging Designer of the Year’, Doris Adom-Asomaning won the ‘Female Model of the Year’ award and ‘Male Model of the Year’ went to Zion Benjamin.

The event also featured other designers such as the Ghanaian born South African based Ali Adams, Peachy Purr (Ghana), House Of Eccentric (Ghana), Vonne Couture (Nigeria), Kastle Designs & Treasure Chest (U.S) Martial Tapolo (Paris), Wana Sambo Clothing (Nigeria), Modela Couture (Nigeria), Ivana Elle Couture (Ghana), Ohema Ohene (U.K), Gilles Toure (Côte D’ivoire) amongst others.

Guests at the event included former first lady of Ghana, Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings, Juliet Ibrahim, Confidence Haugen, Dele Momodu, Kwesi Jyei Darkwa and many others.
