Herbicides suspected to be the cause of mystery deaths in Nigeria

The WHO spokesman, Gregory Haertl, tweeted: "Current hypothesis is cause of the event is herbicides" and "Tests done so far are negative for viral and bacterial infection."


The Ondo state health commissioner, Dayo Adeyanju, told AFP news agency on Saturday that 23 people had been affected.

Those who died suffered from blurred vision and headaches, and then lost consciousness before dying within 24 hours.

Beyoncé's mother, Tina Knowles gets married to Richard Lawson


 



Beyoncé's mother, Tina Knowles reportedly tied the knot with 'Poltergeist' actor Richard Lawson at the weekend.

TMZ reports that the couple got hitched on a super yacht off the California coast last night.

All the guests wore white to the evening ceremony.

Tina split from Mathew Knowles in 2009 after over three decades of marriage.

Police launch investigation into allegations of fraud after Chinese casanova is caught out when all his 17 girlfriends turn up at the hospital after he had a car crash

Mr Yuan, a Chinese man recovering in hospital after a car crash on March 24 had a shock when all 17 of his girlfriends turned up to see him.

 
 
None of the women knew he had been seeing anyone else. He had been seeing some for up to nine years, and one even had a son with him.
The women discovered his secret after doctors contacted 'his relations' to let them know he had been injured.

Xiao Li, who had been seeing Mr Yuan for 18 months, said: 'I was really worried when I heard that he was in hospital.
'But when I started seeing more and more beautiful girls show up, I couldn't cry any more.' 
Other girls said they had started planning their weddings with Mr Yuan. 
Wang Fang, the mother of his son, added: 'What can I do now? I don't love him any more, but I do love my son.'
The women have now set up an online Facebook group so they can all chat and are quickly discovering just how much he hid from them, South China Morning Post reported.

22 killed and 50 injured in Tunisia hostage shootout





TUNIS (The Tunis Times) – Two disguised gunmen infiltrated security at Bardo Museum, a landmark institution at the heart of Tunisia’s capital Wed March, 18th. The attackers took and killed 22 hostages of different nationalities (Tunisian, French, Italian, Polish, Japanese) according to a statement made by Mr. Mohamed Ali Aroui, the spokesman of the ministry of interior. 50 people were injured as a result of the bloody attacks.
P.M. Mr. Habib Essid and President Mr. Beji Caid Essesbi joined the crisis-cell formed on the grounds of the attacks in Kasbah palace before heading to Charles Nicole hospital to visit the injured victims.
“This is catastrophic for Tunisia,” said Mr. Bej Caid Essebsi, “We need to stop those kind of people [referring to terrorists] for good.” added Mr. Esessbi.
The president of the Republic, Mr. Beji Caid Essesbi, is set to address the Tunisian people on the attacks today.
The European Union foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini blamed “terrorist organizations” for the attacks.
“With the attack that has struck Tunis today, the terrorist organizations are once again targeting the countries and peoples of the Mediterranean region,” Mogherini said in a statement which The Tunis Times obtained a copy of.
