Colorado: Abandoned Occult Altar Discovered In Vacant House

A cleaning crew and a realtor recently made a haunting discovery when they stumbled upon a possible occult altar forgotten for a decade and a half in a small house for sale in a Colorado suburb.

Animal skulls, chains, bones from a goat and possibly other animals, a skull mask with a black hood, candles and a machete were among the items that were found in the home's backyard shed.

Police say that some of the bones, including a partial skull, are suspected of being human and have been sent to an out-of-state lab to determine whether any DNA evidence can be found. Up to 20 bones were found and investigators even brought in search dogs trained to find decomposing bodies.

occult.house.1.jpg
The vacant house, located on the 1200 block of Kline Street, looks nondescript in the extreme -- and apparently nothing inside it struck the cleaning crew assigned to get it ready for sale as the least bit odd.

The Shed: At about 3:30 p.m. on October 17, according to the Lakewood Police Department, officers were called to the residence after workers found what they believed to be human remains -- reportedly part of a skull and leg bone.
 occult.shed.2.jpg
Animal bones also appeared to have been part of the mix, as well as odd items like these....

Neighbor Carlos Fraire said the discovery was very eerie.

"It's weird that it's this time of year, right around Halloween," Fraire told 9News.

According to a report by Westword, neighbors described the woman who lived there as a Christian and the items in the shed are suspected of having belonged to her now-deceased husband, who reportedly left the country in 1998. For the last 15 years, his wife apparently either hadn't known the items were there or left them completely alone because when they were discovered most were covered in thick dust.

The two split up over a decade ago, and the altar wasn't discovered until a realtor commissioned a cleaning crew so the house could be put up for sale.

For photos taken from the house, head over to Westword.

When the cleaners found the bones and a partial skull in the shed, they called the police.

"It just appears that they were used in some type of 'occult' ceremony," Lakewood Police Department spokesman Steve Davis told 7News. "At this point we have no evidence to suspect that any kind of crime has been committed."

Police say they have talked with at least family member of the man who lived there who indicated he was an occultist.

Investigators aren't currently treating the home as a crime scene, noting that human bones -- oddly enough -- can be purchased online.

Police are asking that anyone with any information about the case please call 303-987-7111.

Underwear that neutralizes the stink of Fart!....yes, for real!...can squash the smell of "200 times the average flatulence emission."

A British line of fart-filtering underwear is doing big business, and it has the United States to thank for it.

"Americans are making up the majority of our sales at the moment," Shreddies spokeswoman Ianthe Betts-Clarke told The Huffington Post.

Since word about the odor-neutralizing Shreddies passed through the Internet a few days ago, the company has experienced a 400 percent increase in orders over all, Betts-Clarke estimated.

Shreddies weaves a carbon cloth called Zorflex into its rear panel. Betts-Clarke says it can squash the smell of "200 times the average flatulence emission." (Shreddies apparently hasn't met my Aunt Edna.)

In 2008, the company began to serve customers with digestive-tract woes but branched out. "It's a product for everybody, because everyone farts," Betts-Clarke explained.

Men's boxer briefs cost between $39 and $45, while women's panties are about $31 to $34.

A product called the Flat-D Flatulence Deodorizer is also on the market. It's an activated charcoal cloth pad that tapes to the inside of briefs to mask the stink.

Imagine your silent but deadly farts now just silent.

This pair of Shreddies for women costs about $31.

DNA tests have shown a Bulgarian Roma couple ARE the biological parents of the "blonde angel" Maria who was rescued from a Greek gypsy camp.

DNA tests have shown a Bulgarian Roma couple ARE the biological parents of the "blonde angel" Maria who was rescued from a Greek gypsy camp.

Greece girl Maria's mum: 'I have many children so I sold some and gave others away'
Sasha Ruseva was tracked down to a squalid shanty town in the centre of Bulgaria, 300 miles from where the fair-skinned blue-eyed youngster was found last week.

Bulgarian prosecutors are now investigating whether the 40-year-old agreed to sell her daughter in Greece, an accusation she denies.

Real mum: Sasha Ruseva
Rex

The case has come to illustrate the plight of Roma gypsies in Bulgaria, many of whom have spent their lives in poverty, are illiterate and have been marginalised by society.

Four-year-old Maria was found last week hiding under a blanket at a Roma settlement in central Greece. DNA tests showed the Roma couple she was with were not her real parents.

Maria, whose case has drawn parallels with the disappearance of 3-year-old Briton Madeleine McCann in 2007, is being looked after by a Greek charity, which says it has received over 10,000 calls with leads or from parents of missing children.

Rescued: Maria was found in a Greek gypsy camp

Sasha already had two children and was picking olives in the coastal town of Livanates, Greece, when she fell pregnant in 2008, it was claimed today.

Unable to cope, Sasha is thought to have sold the unwanted tot to the highest bidders - a group of child traffickers.

A mysterious Bulgarian middleman known as 'Michalis' and his prostitute partner then offered baby Maria around central Greece before her adoptive gypsy parents paid 1,000 Euro to keep her.

DNA tests have confirmed that a little blonde girl taken from a Roma family in Ireland IS their daughter.

The seven-year-old was put into care when a member of the public reported the youngster was living with the family in a house in Dublin

Meet barmaid Candice Armstrong, 28, whose steroid abuse has effectively turned her into a man.

For many, Hollywood actors and bodybuilders among them, anabolic steroids have become a regular part of life.

But with side-effects that range from excess body hair to liver damage, using them can result in serious health issues as well as bigger muscles - as the stars of a new documentary fronted by former reality TV star Jodie Marsh prove.

Among the performance-enhancing drug users to feature on Jodie Marsh On...Steroids, is former barmaid Candice Armstrong, 28, from Walthamstow in London, whose steroid abuse has effectively turned her into a man.

Candice (left) before she started taking anabolic steroids, which led to her developing facial hair, acne, and various other male characteristics, including a one-inch penis. Candice (right) as she is now

Irreversible: Candice Armstrong's steroid abuse has left her with male characteristics such as facial hair

Insults: Candice is the target of comments on the street because of her looks and has to wear men's clothes

Once a slender, pretty blonde, Candice is now a hulking brunette with muscles that wouldn't look out of place on Arnold Schwarzenegger and body hair that sprouts from her back, chest and upper lip.

Candice had no intention of becoming so masculine when she began taking the drug, but says that it's too late for her to stop.

'No, it wasn't my plan,' she tells Marsh in a scene from the documentary. 'You could argue that when I wanted big arms and broad shoulders, a bigger back and small hips, that that was a masculine look but I didn't consciously decide I want to change from a woman into a man.'

The side effects have been severe. Along with excess body hair and acne, her clitoris has swelled so much, it has become a mini penis.

'That has gone significantly bigger, yes,' she reveals. 'About an inch [long] and it's shaped like a little penis. It looks like a little penis, you can roll back the foreskin...'

Her breasts have also suffered and now hang lifeless from her hugely overdeveloped pectoral muscles.

Dangerous: Her steroid use means Candace is at risk of heart problems and even liver failure

She has no intention of putting an end to her steroid use. 'I think it would do more harm than good,' she explains.

'I'd lose all the muscles but I wouldn't lose all the masculine qualities like the facial hair and the deep voice... It doesn't really go back.

'If I was to try and reverse that, I'd need the same sort of procedures as a male becoming a woman.'

Despite her drastically altered appearance, Candice says the pros outweigh the cons and have allowed her to do something else she loves - a drag act.

'It's opened doors and enabled me to develop myself the way I want to,' she says.

'It's given the opportunity to live out one of my dreams. I've started doing a bit of drag and I love it. I've always wanted to do a bit of drag!'

She adds: 'If I get called a tranny and a faggot when I walk out on the street anyway, I think why not make something of it!'

Addiction: According to Candace, things would be worse if she stopped because she would lose her muscles

Suspected Abduction: 7 yr old girl taken from Roma family by Gardai in Dublin...Investigation still ongoing

The Child Protection Unit at Tallaght Garda Station received a call from a member of the public concerned about the child

Gardaí have removed a seven-year-old blonde girl from a Roma family in Tallaght and placed her in care.

Officers intervened to take the girl away yesterday following an investigation.

It is highly unusual for gardaí to remove a child from a family, but they have a duty to do so in law under certain circumstances.

The Child Protection Unit at Tallaght Garda Station received a call from a member of the public concerned about a child living with a Roma family.

The gardaí had had prior dealings with the family and at around 4.30pm yesterday officers called to the house.

They spoke to the parents and saw there were a number of children in the house, one of whom was distinctive, a seven-year-old child with blonde hair and blue eyes.

The parents informed gardaí the child was their own and was born in 2006 at a city maternity hospital.

However, initial checks there failed to confirm this.

Gardaí were also dissatisfied with documents produced in relation to the child.

They spoke with a consultant at another Dublin hospital who informed them that while not impossible, it would be unusual for a Roma family to have a child with such contrasting features.

After two hours in the house, gardaí then decided to act under Section 12 of the Child Care Act and officials from the HSE took the child into care.

The child can remain in care for up to 28 days while the garda investigation continues.

How to Lose Baby Weight with Atkins Diet......Just like Kim K.

Kim Kardashian tweeted she was on the Atkins diet on October 13.

She is crediting the Atkins diet, a low-carb lifestyle plan, as her saving grace:

“Fifteen years ago, I tried the Atkins diet with my dad and we both lost weight really quickly. And I’m still doing it. I still have my cheat days, but when you’re breastfeeding you can’t really starve yourself.”

Even though Kim looks amazing, she admits she isn’t done yet!

Kim Kardashian Atkins Diet

“I still have some [baby weight] to go. Atkins worked for me and I don’t feel tempted to eat a bunch of junk food. It’s just about staying healthy — it will come off.”

Bringing your new baby home could very well be one of the most joyous and memorable occasions in your life. As you get into the routine of diaper changing, feeding and sleeping (hopefully!), it’s natural for you to start thinking about losing weight. But it’s important to remember that your body has just been through a lot; giving birth is no small feat, and your body needs time to rest, recover and replenish before you put undue pressure on yourself to get back into your favorite pair of pre-pregnancy jeans. First and foremost, you need to listen to your doctor and his or her recommendations for when you can start exercising and any other important guidelines.

Here are some other important tips for how to lose baby weight, with the help of Atkins:
Set realistic weight loss goals:

You typically lose up to10 pounds during childbirth, and you will lose additional weight in coming weeks as you shed additional retained fluids. While the fat you stored during pregnancy won’t disappear on its own right away, it’s also important to lose it in the right way. Focus on losing 1 to 2 pounds a week until you hit your target weight, but keep in mind that depending on how much weight you have to lose, it may take six months or even longer to return to your pregnancy weight, whether you’re breast-feeding or not.

Getting started:
  • Give yourself some time to ease back into weight loss. There’s never a right time to do a crash diet, but now would be the absolute worst time! You want to lose the baby weight slowly and steadily, without putting any undue stress on yourself or your body. Generally, you could start eating around 50 grams of net carbs a day.
  • As with all phases of Atkins, build your eating program around protein, including meat, poultry and seafood, eggs and healthy natural fats such as olive and flaxseed oil, nuts/seeds and their butters, and avocados.
  • Eat plenty of vegetables and one serving of fruit such as strawberries, blueberries or grapefruit daily.
  • Read ingredient labels and AVOID hydrogenated oils.
  • Cook meat well but don't burn it—heavily charred meats can be unhealthy.
  • Be sure to drink plenty of water. Shoot for 8 (eight-ounce) glasses of water a day, possibly more if you are breastfeeding.
  • Eat small, frequent meals with healthy snacks in between to keep your hunger in check and your energy level high. If you are breastfeeding, you may feel extra hungry because your body is working around the clock to make breast milk for your baby; the frequent meals and snacks will help you keep you satisfied.
  • Focus on your body’s hunger cues vs. eating a specific number of calories, and watch your portion sizes.
  • Once you have the go-ahead from your doctor to exercise, try to walk 30 minutes a day at a comfortable pace. If you already had an exercise routine prior to pregnancy and/or during pregnancy, now’s the time to slowly ease back into it.
If you’re breastfeeding:

You may need to add up to an extra 500 calories a day (for a total daily calorie intake of 2,000 to 2,200 calories) while breastfeeding, but you can safely drop to 1,800 calories a day once your baby is two months old. Remember that you are using your own calories to feed your baby, and cutting calories too early or drastically may interfere with milk production.

When it comes to Atkins, we advise breastfeeding mothers to avoid Phase 1. You should be able to lose weight gradually while breastfeeding by keeping your daily carb consumption around 50 grams of net carbs or above. Nursing a baby requires a reasonable amount of calories, so you should see a gradual weight loss. The issue is that too rapid a weight loss, combined with the concomitant release of toxins stored in fat cells, might also be transmitted into breast milk. Until you wean your child, losing only 1 to 2 pounds a week should be your goal.

If you start losing more than 1 to 2 pounds per week while breastfeeding, you may need to add an extra snack and/or increase your net carbs to slow weight loss down—the vitamins and minerals from the food you eat will get pumped into your breast milk, and the calories for your breast milk are mostly coming from your body reserves (which includes the weight you gained during pregnancy).
A typical day’s menu would look like this:
Breakfast: 2-egg omelet and 1 ounce cheese
Snack: ½ cup berries and 2 ounces nuts
Lunch: Grilled chicken with 2 tablespoons peanut sauce and a large salad
Snack: Greek yogurt and half a pear
Dinner: Lamb kebabs, half a baked sweet potato and 2 cups mixed salad with 1 ounce blue or feta cheese and Greek vinaigrette dressing.

PHOTO/ VIDEO: Kim Kardashian’s Engagement Ring From Kanye West.....Check out the ROCK!

 Kim Kardashian Engagement Ring

WATCH VIDEO BELOW:

33-year-old reality star, Kim Kardashian, is officially engaged — and her flawless diamond ring definitely cost more than her last ring from Kris Humphries.

Although her engagement ring from Kris Humphries was auctioned off on Oct. 15, Kim already has a new sparkler on her left ring finger — and it’s a stunning engagement ring from boyfriend Kanye West!
Kanye rented out San Francisco’s AT&T Park and popped the question on Kim’s birthday, Oct. 21, in front of the couple’s closest family and friends — and he gave her a gigantic flawless diamond to celebrate the special occasion!

Kanye got down on one knee and proposed to Kim with a flawless15-carat diamond, emerald-cut ring by celebrity jeweler, Lorraine Schwartz....and Kim looks like she couldn’t be happier.

According to 78 Universal Jewelers in NYC: “This ring is definitely worth more than the ring Kris Humphries gave her.” Inanelli Diamonds said it also cost millions of dollars! “The retail price of this ring has to be a couple of million, around six or seven to be exact. Location is key in purchasing a ring of this caliber. If someone came into a NYC jewelry store to purchase a ring of this caliber they would shell out around $3,000,000 but in Beverly Hills, this ring is at least $6,000,000 — and a man of Kanye’s status can shell out this amount easily.”

Kerry Washington is Neutrogena's new ambassador and creative consultant!

Kerry Washington Neutrogena

Kerry Washington is Neutrogena's new celebrity ambassador and creative consultant.

The American actress is the latest star to team up with the Johnson & Johnson company and will feature in their print and television advertisements.

In her new role, the actress will be co-creating marketing initiatives, giving product feedback, and yes, showing off her gorgeous skin in ads. “The position is new for me and for them. It’s a way to be authentically involved in a real partnership with the company,” she says.

It’s a natural fit for the actress who already has a go-to within the brand (Makeup Remover Wipes: ”I will not go to bed with makeup on so it’s great to have a product that will get it off without leaving my skin too oily or dry”) and who loves to talk “beauty stuff” with her Twitter followers. “Now I can be on an adventure with my fans where I’ll be able to hear feedback on the products,” she says. “I live and work in makeup so I have a perspective on how a lip color works after eight hours on the set or an hour on the red carpet.”

The 36-year-old actress will join other Neutrogena ambassadors including Emma Roberts, Kristen Bell, Jennifer Garner and Hayden Panettiere.

Her ads, which will be made public in early 2014, will help Neutrogena launch their new Visibly Even BB creams and boost other core products.

When asked what her favourite products of the brand are Kerry named the Healthy Volume Mascara and Make-up Remover Wipes.

"I'm obsessed with them," she gushed. "But in terms of getting to discover and play with the full product line, I get to do that with my fan base. It's a much more real connection."
