Meet the man who believes he is Jesus Christ reincarnated, despite being arrested more than 40 times and banned from Britain.

Inri Cristo has been dressing up as Christ since 1979 and tells followers: "I can be crazy but not dumb"

Modern Jesus: When not giving sermons, Inri likes to get around on his motor scooter (Barcroft)

This man believes he is Jesus Christ reincarnated despite being arrested more than 40 times and banned from Britain.

Brazilian preacher Inri Cristo, 66, dresses up as Christ and has been spreading his message to hundreds of 'followers' for decades.

But not everyone appreciates his sermons, and the bearded man has spent plenty of time in police custody for his views on capitalism, abortion and even Christmas.

In fact, when Inri began his religious path in 1979 by visiting 27 countries, it resulted in him being expelled from the United States, Venezuela and Britain.

He said he first experienced the revelation he was Christ during a religious fast in Santiago, Chile.

Since childhood he had been following a powerful voice that 'speaks in his head' but it was only on this occasion that it told him: "I am your Father. The God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob.”

And despite seeing himself as Jesus reborn, Inri says Christmas is just a day where the rich humiliate the poor.

Praying: Inri Cristo believes he is Jesus Christ reincarnated (Barcroft)

He said: "It is a day when the little sons of the rich can show the gifts they received while the poor children only get a crumb."

He added: "So it is a very sad day for anyone who sees things with the eyes that I see.”

He said: "I know that there are countless people scattered throughout Brazil and the world whose hearts beat together with mine."

And that thought has kept him going, and he now runs his own church, the 'Soust' (Suprema Ordem Universal da Santíssima Trindade), on farmland outside Brasilia, the capital of Brazil.

He calls this sanctuary the 'New Jerusalem'.

He and his followers survive on homegrown fruit like bananas, avocados and mangos as well as a vegetable garden.

His eldest disciple, Abevere, has been following him for 32 years and is now 86 years old.

His youngest is now 24 years old and first met Inri when she was just a two years old.

Leader: Inri walks the grounds of his Soust compound with his devoted disciples (Barcroft)

His quirky life has led to critics saying he is mentally ill - an accusation he firmly denies.

He said: “I can be crazy but not dumb."

He added: "Madness is different from dementia. It is the mother of philosophers, prophets and inventors.

"My mission is to prepare the elect, the survivors of the inevitable nuclear hecatomb that will culminate in the end of this chaotic world, for the formation of the new earthly society, which will strive to fulfill the Creator's will.”

Here he is making some bread:

12 Years A Slave... True story behind brutal film

The film is based on a book written by Solomon Northup which describes how he was drugged, kidnapped and sold into slavery in 1850s America

Brutal: Film is difficult to watch

It's the British movie expected to sweep the board at the Oscars – but graphic scenes of violence in 12 Years A Slave are not for the squeamish.

The film tells the horrific true story of free black man Solomon Northup, who was drugged, kidnapped and sold into slavery in 1850s America to suffer years of abuse.

It’s based on a book of the same name – written by Solomon after his eventual escape – and has won widespread acclaim since it opened overseas for its accurate depiction of the brutal torture.

Starring British actor Chiwetel Ejiofor as Solomon, the film opens here on Friday, but we can reveal how the book is every bit as violent and shocking.

Musician Solomon tells how in 1841, aged 33, he was tricked into leaving behind his wife and two young daughters in Saratoga Springs, New York, by two white men who offered him a job as a fiddler in a travelling circus.

But when they got to Washington DC, they drugged him and sold him to a slave trader called Burch. Despite having papers showing he was a free man, Solomon was whipped and beaten by his new “owner”.

Describing the attacks, he wrote: “Blow after blow was inflicted upon my naked body. When his unrelenting arm grew tired, he stopped and asked if I still insisted I was a free man. I did insist upon it, and then the blows were renewed, faster and more energetically, if possible, than before.

“At length the paddle broke, leaving the useless handle in his hand. Still I would not yield. All his brutal blows could not force from my lips the foul lie that I was a slave.”

Shocking: Illustration from 1856 Orton & Mulligan edition

He was then sold on to plantations in New Orleans and Louisiana, where he was forced to pick cotton and was subjected to constant batterings and degradation.

His name was changed to Platt by his new owner John Tibeats – a “quick-tempered” carpenter who worked his slaves “from earliest dawn until late at night”. When Tibeats tried to whip Solomon, he fought back. Furious at his defiance, Tibeats and two associates attacked him with a hatchet.

“It was a moment of life or death,” Solomon wrote. “The sharp, bright blade of the hatchet glittered. In another instant it would be buried in my brain.

"There was but one course to take. Springing towards him with all my power, and meeting him with one hand I caught his uplifted arm, with the other seized him by the throat. We stood looking into each other’s eyes. In his I could see murder.”

Solomon throttled Tibeats until he slumped unconscious, then he fled but was chased by hounds. He told how he tried to escape through a swamp, writing: “Every few moments I could hear the yelpings of the dogs. Each moment I expected they would spring upon my back – expected to feel their long teeth sinking into my flesh. I knew they would tear me to pieces.”

Eventually he made it to the river and put the dogs off his scent. But he was recaptured and taken to another plantation, where he suffered under the cruel hand of Edwin Epps, who whipped and tortured any slaves who didn’t pick the required amount of cotton each day.

Solomon wrote that sounds of whipping could be heard every day, “from sundown until lights out”.

A gruesome scene in the movie, which shows Epps tying a woman called Patsey – who he repeatedly rapes – to a post before whipping her 41 times is one that has caused the most revulsion among audiences.

Solomon spent 10 of his 12 years in captivity held by Epps. His only respite from the violence came when he was passed into the charge of Baptist preacher William Ford, who looked after slaves in his care.

Later Soloman was to meet a Canadian carpenter, Mr Bass, who helped him to write letters to his family, who had never given up hope of finding him.

Illustration: Seems to have been done by author himself

It took a huge slice of luck to rescue Solomon. Stranger Henry Northup, from a white family Solomon’s father had once served, searched for him for years.

And during his search he came across Bass, who told him Solomon was now known as Platt and where he could be found. He was rescued and taken back to Washington, where he brought charges against slave trader Burch. But when Burch claimed Solomon had been sold to him fairly, the case was dropped.

Eventually Solomon returned home for an emotional reunion with his wife Anne, his daughters Margaret and Elizabeth, and the grandson he’d never met.

His book ends abruptly after their reunion, but he wrote: “Margaret was the first that met me. She did not recognise me.

"When I left her she was but seven years old, a little prattling child, playing with her toys. Now she was grown to womanhood – was married with a bright-eyed boy by her side. Not forgetful of his enslaved, unfortunate grandfather, she had named the child Solomon.

“Presently Elizabeth entered the room and Anne came running from the hotel, having been informed of my arrival. They embraced me and with tears flowing down their cheeks, hung upon my neck.”

Solomon published his story within a year of returning home. The book became an instant hit but disappeared into obscurity, until its movie revival.

The latter years of Solomon’s life are a mystery. Some reports said he had been kidnapped again while drunk and sold once more into slavery. Others said he saw out his days as a tramp. In 1865, the census recorded his wife – but not Solomon – and 10 years later it was reported Anne had died a widow.

When it came to adapting his book, the movie’s director Steve McQueen said everything he needed was there in black and white. He didn’t have to embellish anything.

He said: “It read like a film script, ready to be shot. I hope my film can play a part in drawing attention to this important book of courage.”

An all-star cast including Brad Pitt, Benedict Cumberbatch and Michael Fassbender will help ticket sales but Solomon’s story is the real draw.

And Chiwetel Ejiofor said: “Solomon’s story is full of violence but also full of beauty and hope and human respect and dignity. With Steve there to guide it, we weren’t afraid to explore all that, and go to those dark places.”
12 Years A Slave, by Solomon Northup, is published by Penguin at £7.99

Pope to nuns: Why aren’t you answering the phone?

Pope Francis, who has a habit of calling people out of the blue, made another one of his cold calls to wish a group of nuns in a Spanish convent Happy New Year. Only he got their answering machine, instead.
“What are the nuns doing that they can’t answer the phone?” Francis asked in the message he left, the recording of which was obtained by Spain’s El Mundo newspaper and broadcast on Italian media Saturday.
“This is Pope Francis. I wanted to offer you greetings for the end of the year. Maybe I’ll try to call again later. May God bless you,” he said.
Francis also has a habit checking ordinary people who have written him about their hardhips.

Small plane makes emergency landing on highway

NEW YORK (AP) — A small plane that made an emergency landing on a New York City highway was returning to Connecticut after touring the Statue of Liberty.
According to New York Mayor Bill de Blasio, it was on its way back to Danbury, Conn., when it experienced engine problems.

He said all three people on board are being treated at a Bronx hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
Emergency workers were removing the plane’s fuel and there was no fire or gas leak.
He called the safe landing extraordinary and ‘‘a bit of a miracle,’’ that nobody was seriously hurt or killed.

The highway was closed and emergency personnel were on the scene.

Patricia Sapol, 29, of West Point, was driving south on the highway with her husband when they saw emergency vehicles surrounding the downed plane, about 15 minutes after the landing.

‘‘We couldn’t believe it! We thought, ‘Oh my God that’s a plane!’ It was pretty incredible,’’ she said. ‘‘The fact that there was no actual crash we thought was pretty surprising.’’

How Your Sleeping Position Affects Your Health

Did you know that how you sleep can also impact your health? Let’s take a look at eight common sleeping positions and what they do to your body.

1. On Your Back, Arms at Sides

Sleeping on your back with your arms at your side is generally considered to be the best sleeping position for spine health and it’s good for your neck, too, as long as you don’t use too many pillows. That said, back sleepers tend to snore more than those in any other position and sleep apnea is strongly associated with sleeping on the back.

2. On Your Back, Arms Up

This so-called “starfish” position is also good for the back. Whether you have your arms up around your pillow or not, sleeping on your back may also help to prevent facial wrinkles and skin breakouts. However, like the arms-down back sleeping position, this one can also result in snoring and problems with acid reflux. Plus, having your arms up can put pressure on nerves in your shoulders, leading to pain.

3. Face Down

Sleeping on your stomach can improve digestion but unless you’ve developed a way to breathe through your pillow, it most likely leads to you tilting your face in one direction or the other. This can put a lot of strain on the neck. Sleeping face down can also cause back pain, as the curve of the spine is not supported.

4. Fetal Position

Sleeping all curled up into a ball with your knees drawn up and your chin tilted down might be comfortable but it can do a number on your back and neck.
The extreme curl of the fetal position can also restrict deep breathing. That considered, sleeping like a fetus can have you sleeping like a baby if you typically have problems with snoring or if you’re pregnant.

5. On Side, Arms at Sides

When you’re sleeping on your side with both arms down, the spine is best supported in its natural curve. This can definitely help reduce back and neck pain while also reducing sleep apnea. The downside? Sleeping on the side can contribute to skin aging due to gravity, meaning facial wrinkles and sagging breasts.

6. On Side, Arms Out

This position has many of the same benefits of sleeping on your side with your arms straight down. However, any side sleeping can cause shoulder and arm pain due to restricted blood flow and pressure on the nerves, which may be exacerbated by having your arms out in front of you.

7. On the Right Side

If you’re a side-sleeper, which side you sleep on also makes a difference. Sleeping on the right side can worsen heartburn while sleeping on the left side can put strain on internal organs like the liver, lungs, and stomach (while minimizing acid reflux). For pregnant sleepers, doctors typically advise sleeping on the left side, since this can improve circulation to the fetus.

8. Pillow-Supplemented

Regardless of which sleeping position you prefer, it’s highly likely that you can get a better night’s rest with less pain in the morning by supplementing your body with a pillow.
Back sleepers can put a small pillow under the arch of their spine, side sleepers can place a pillow between their knees, and stomach sleepers can place a pillow under their hips to support the joints and allow for full, pain-free relaxation.

Which sleeping position gives you the best night’s rest without pain?

29 Year Old Nigerian Phishing Scammer Jailed for 3 Years

A 29-year-old Nigerian national was jailed on Friday 13 December 2013, for his part in a sophisticated phishing scam that targeted hundreds of UK students, using their compromised data to steal in excess of £1.5 million. He has been sentenced to three years imprisonment for conspiracy to defraud and nine months imprisonment for money laundering, to run consecutively.

Olajide Onikoyi, 29, living in Manchester, UK was among a number of cyber criminals who targeted students by sending them emails inviting them to update details on their student loan account via a link to a bogus website.

When the site was accessed by the unsuspecting victims, Onikoyi was able to gain unauthorised access to their bank accounts and extract large amounts of money. One victim had £19,000 taken from their account. Onikoyi laundered £393,000 from 238 victims in total.

The scam was identified following a successful operation by detectives from the now-disbanded MPS Police Central e-Crime Unit.

Detective Chief Inspector Jason Tunn, of the MPS Cyber Crime Unit, said: “My officers worked doggedly to secure Onikoyi’s conviction. They examined numerous leads to identify members of this phishing gang, of which Onikoyi was a key member.

“He played a significant role in the scam by systematically targeting British students and UK financial institutions in order to steal large amounts of money that were then dispersed across numerous bank accounts.”

On 8 December 2012, working with colleagues from Greater Manchester Police, detectives executed search warrants at addresses in London and Manchester. A number of computers and associated storage media were seized from the properties and their contents examined, leading the investigators to identify Onikoyi’s involvement.

He was subsequently arrested when a further series of warrants was executed with the Serious Organised Crime Agency in Manchester on 9 January this year.

Detectives seized his computer, from which they recovered chat logs from cyber crime forums. These revealed Onikoyi was conspiring with others from Russia, Lithuania and the UK in order to compromise computers and associated bank accounts.

He was charged the following day and subsequently pleaded guilty to conspiracy to defraud UK financial institutions of £393,000 and money laundering on 10 December.

On 9 December, Ruth Smith-Ajala, 44 (25.04.69), a Nigerian national of Redlands Way, SW2 was sentenced to five years imprisonment for conspiracy to defraud, at Southwark Crown Court. A further five individuals were arrested as part of the investigation. Of those, four were released with no further action.

A heartbroken woman has made a desperate online plea to be reunited with her mystery New Year's Eve kisser - despite the fact he urinated on her.
The unconventional love story took place place in Bloomington, Indiana, where the lucky lady was treated to a midnight kiss from the "scruffy" stranger.
The fateful kiss had apparently taken place shortly after she had burst into tears, but she was then confronted with some water works of her own when the man relieved himself on her and ran away.
Although this would be enough to make most people run for the hills, the intrigued woman posted an advert on Craigslist looking to be REUNITED with her weak-bladdered Casanova.
She confided that even after she "felt something warm" leak onto her leg, her enthusiasm wasn't dampened and she wished he had stayed.
However, despite being forgiving, the anonymous poster is determined not to be duped by any potential imposters - she has even provided specific instructions so that she could recognise legitimate replies.
"Please reply and when you do tell me why I started crying so I know it's you - if you remember".

Brown rice, brown bread, brown sugar, etc...Are Brown Foods Really Better?

Brown rice, potatoes and breadBrown rice vs. white rice is one of the main food debates today. Eating brown foods automatically makes your diet healthier, right?
Not necessarily. So which brown foods matter the most?
Brown Sugar: No. Sugar is sugar. The major differences between turbinado sugar, otherwise known as “natural” or “raw” sugar, and white sugar are the size of crystals and the presence of molasses, which gives darker sugar its color. Otherwise they have about the same amount of calories and carbohydrates, says Jo-Anne Rizzotto, M.S., R.D., former education specialist at Joslin Diabetes Center in Boston.
Brown Rice: Yes. “Unlike white rice, where nutrients are stripped away, brown rice still has the whole grain in one piece, so it’s full of fiber, vitamins and minerals,” says Rachel Brandeis, M.S., R.D., an Atlanta-based spokesperson for the American Dietetic Association.
Brown Bread: Not Necessarily. “Some manufacturers add caramel coloring in place of whole-grain flour to achieve a brown color,” says Brandeis. The first word in the list of ingredients should be whole, signifying that the grain is still intact. But the next doesn’t have to be wheat. Any whole grain — oat, corn or rye — is rich in fiber and antioxidants.
Brown Eggs: No. The only difference between a white and a brown egg is the color of the shell, and that’s determined by the hen’s breed. Still, not all eggs are created equal. Some farmers fortify chicken feed with nutrients such as omega-3 fatty acids or vitamins, which end up in the yolk, making a truly good egg.

Have You Seen This Pink Serial Bank Robber?

Pink Bank Robber

VIDEO:

A woman known only as the "pink bank robber" is wanted in Maryland, USA., and she definitely is more fashion-forward than the typical thief.

The suspect targeted two separate Capitol One banks on December 2 and December 27.

Each time, she wore an all pink outfit, including a pink headscarf, pink jacket and even a pink cell phone, Fox Baltimore reported.

In each case, she gives a teller a note demanding cash and flees the scene in her pink ensemble after getting her green money, the Associated Press reported.

The stylishly-dressed suspect is described as a black female in her late 20s, approximately 5'8"-5'11."

Anyone with information on the pink bank robber is asked to call the CID Robbery Unit at 301-772-4905, or go to www.pgpolice.org and submit a tip online.

Crime Solvers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and indictment in these crimes.

Woman Sues Wicked Husband Who Allegedly Duped Her Out Of $744,000 He Spent On Mistress

 Banker Aubrey Lee Price

The New York Daily News reports that underwear heiress and Candice Feinberg, 39, claims her husband convinced her to give him $744,000 she thought was for gambling debts, when in fact the cash was for his mistress.

A $10 million lawsuit filed by the New York woman against her spouse says she was led "to believe that her husband, Steven Lalicata, whom she had recently married, owed large gambling debts to members of organized crime. Through a series of coordinated communications, they led her to believe physical well-being would be in jeopardy if she did not make huge amounts of cash available to him on short notice."

Feinberg's father, Herbert Feinberg, is "credited with inventing seamless panties," the Daily News reports.

The suit also names Lalicata's alleged mistress, Diana Fernandez.

Oscar Holt, Fernandez's attorney, told the New York Post that Fernandez and Lalicata were “just friends.”

Feinberg's lawsuit tells a very different story, alleging that Fernandez sent her a text that said "Your husband is in my house right now…he sucks the habichuelas [beans] right out of my a--. Squeaky clean now…”

The couple was married in 2011 and the suit was filed in June of 2012, but reported on this week.

PHOTO/VIDEO: Woman Finds 4-foot-long Python In Her Secondhand Sofa

python in couch

Now here's a story guaranteed to make you squirm and check underneath your sofas!

A woman in Michigan recently got the surprise of her life when she discovered a large 4 foot long python coiled in the folds of her couch.
According to ABC News, Grand Rapids resident Holly Wright made the shocking find over the weekend, when she spotted a large snake slithering around in a secondhand couch she had picked up.
"I picked this couch up off the street and it's been in my bedroom for a couple months, and today we found a python inside the couch," Holly Wright said in a video obtained by ABC News' Grand Rapids affiliate WZZM-TV.
Wright said she had cleaned the couch when she brought it home and never noticed the stowaway snake. She believes the reptile's appetite is what prompted it to come out of hiding.
"It didn't really react or hiss ... It was quite cold in the room, there was no food for the snake and I think it came out of the couch because it was dying," she said.
Wright may be right, as the python did die before she was able to get help for it.

"It's been really sad actually to realize all this time I was in proximity to that animal [and it] was probably suffering," she told WZZM.
The snake received a proper burial and the couch got kicked back to the curb, along with a written warning — "Do Not Pick Up."

Man Arrested After Selling Stolen Human Brains On eBay

  • Suspect nabbed in police sting operation
  • Man who bought brain tissue for $600 on eBay tipped police
  • Much of the stolen material has been returned to museum
  • The brain tissue was taken from the Indiana Medical History Museum, site of the former Central State Hospital, which treated patients with psychiatric and mental disorders from 1848 to 1994.

David Charles, 21, is accused of stealing human brain tissue from the Indiana Medical History Museum in Indianapolis, and selling the looted organs on eBay, the Indy Star reported. Officials say Charles stole jars of preserved brain tissue -- which came from deceased psychiatric patients -- on multiple occasions over the past year.

Museum officials reported several break-ins over the course of the year. Police were tipped off to the underhanded eBay deals by a buyer who purchased six jars of brains at $100 apiece and later ascertained that the transactions might be fishy.

Investigators say they nabbed Charles in a sting operation, meeting up with him outside a Dairy Queen on December 16, Fox 59 reported.

They also note Charles wasn't exactly discreet about his illicit endeavors. He wrote "Yo I got a bunch of human brains in jars for sale hmu [hit me up] for details u know u want one for Halloween," on Facebook on October 14.

The museum has recovered much, though not all, of the stolen material, executive director Mary Ellen Hennessey Nottage told the Indy Star.

The brains that belong to the museum come from about 2,000 psychiatric patients from the now-closed Central State Hospital, which was in operation from 1848 to 1994, according to Raw Story. The Indiana Medical History Museum now stands on the site of the former hospital.

VIDEO: Kim Kardashian falls on her bum when ski trick goes wrong!

Kim yells "this is a trick Kourtney and I used to do when we were really good skiiers" seconds before falling on her bum in the snow....

Half of the Kardashian Klan are currently snowing it up in Park City, Utah and reality royalty Kim's been bottom planting in the white cold powder.
And 30-year-old Scott Disick captured it in a 26 second clip before posting it to his Keek account.
As Scott starts filming the pair on the slopes, Kim shouts: "This is a trick Kourtney and I used to do when we were, like, really good skiers. Kourtney! If you make me fall I'll kill you!"
The pair then try out the manoeuvre, with mum-of-two Kourtney sliding through Kim's legs with just a little wobble.
Clearly chuffed, the 34-year-old mum-of-two throws her arms up triumphantly, but when Kim does it, it doesn't quite go to plan.
Baby North's mum passes under her sister's legs before picking up speed and veering off towards the trees to the left of her and onto her bottom.
"Uh-oh! She's going down!" Scott yells as yummy mummy Kim almost gets personal with the trees!
"I did it perfectly two other times - it's just when you're Keeking me!" Kim yells back.

    Good fun in the snow!

Top, Nida Ul-Naseer, Chanelle Beasley, Hayleigh-Jade Ffrench - Bottom, Diana Horvathova, Patricia Zupkova and Heidi James

Police are searching for these SIX girls who have gone missing over Christmas and New Year.

Forces across the country are appealing for information on the girls, who range in age from 12 to 18.

12-year-old Chanelle Beasley, of Mitcham, south west London, has not been seen since 3pm on New Year's Eve.
She has not gone missing before and her family are becoming increasingly concerned over her whereabouts.
Chanelle is described as of dual heritage, 5'5" tall and of slim build.
She was wearing a jacket with a leopard skin pattern on the front and leather on the back, over a black and white glittery cardigan, with light blue skinny jeans and black Nike Air Max trainers. She was carrying a black Adidas record bag.
Following initial inquiries, police believe she is currently in the Romford, Dagenham, or Chadwell Heath area.

13-year-old Hayleigh-Jade Ffrench, also known as Hayley, was last seen at 5pm on New Year's Eve.
The teenager, from Hayes, west London, is described as black, 5ft 6in and with long, braided hair.
She was last seen wearing a flowery T-shirt, tight-fitting blue jeans, pink ankle-height trainers and a green, shiny puffa-style thigh-length jacket.
She has links to south London, specifically the Lambeth, Elephant and Castle and Tooting areas.

14-year-old Heidi James is believed to have left home on New Year's Day before 4.30am after celebrating with her family in Long Lawford, Warwickshire.
Heidi, also known as Beth, was wearing a pink onesie with pink hearts on and a dark purple sweater and brown ugg boots. She was not wearing a coat.
The teen, who could be in Northamptonshire, is described as a white female of slim build with shoulder length black hair.

Patricia Zupkova, from Eastwood, Rotherham, and Diana Horvathova from Leeds are Slovakian and 15.
They are believed to be together and have not been in contact with their families since last week.
There have been unconfirmed sightings in the Leeds and Bradford areas but so far, the youngsters have not been found.
Patricia has dark brown wavy shoulder length hair and she was last seen around 1pm on Boxing Day at her home on Bramwell Street, Eastwood, wearing silver/grey jogging bottoms and the same colour sweatshirt.
Diana is described as 5’2” tall, slim build, has long brown hair with blonde highlights, and she has a tattoo on the right side of her neck with the initial DH.
Diana was last seen around 7pm on Christmas Eve at her home address on Sandhurst Terrace in Harehills, Leeds, wearing a red long-sleeved top, a red hooded top with a black chequered pattern, light blue jeans with tears on both legs, and black Nike trainers.

18-year-old Nida Ul-Naseer, from Newport in south Wales, vanished on Saturday at 8pm after taking out the rubbish at home.
The teenager has not been seen since she stepped outside to go to the bins outside her home on Linton Street .
Police sniffer dogs and up to 40 police officers, some on horseback, have been searching open areas around her home.
The teenager, whose disappearance is out of character, is also in need of medication without which she is likely to become anaemic.
A police spokesman said: "Nida is of Asian-Pakistani appearance and has long dark hair, is slim and is five feet three inches tall.
"She was last known to be wearing blue jeans and a black top.
"To go missing is particularly out of character for Nida, and officers and her family are increasingly concerned for her welfare due to that fact that she hasn't been in contact, especially over the New Year period."

Police in Yorkshire are concerned for the whereabouts of two teenage girls who are missing from home.

Anyone with information on any missing person should call police on 101 or the charity Missing People on 116 000.

Michael Schumacher is in a STABLE condition in hospital

The F1 legend's condition has stabilised under the supervision of hospital staff overnight, an improvement on his critical condition.

Michael Schumacher's manager Sabine Kehm has described the F1 legend's condition as 'stable'.

Kehm had originally scheduled a press conference for 10am (UK time) on New Year's Day, but called it off at the last minute and simply gave a statement outside the University Hospital in Grenoble.

She said Michael Schumacher's condition had stabilised overnight, under the supervision of hospital staff, and there was therefore no need to give the press conference.

The 'stable condition' is an improvement on his condition earlier in the week, though Kehm emphasised that despite the good news "we are still in a critical situation".

It is not yet clear if Schumacher will have to undergo more surgeries, in addition to the two operations he has already been through since his skiing accident.

It is thought the F1 legend collided head first into a rock while skiing with friends in France.
