Fashion Designer Oscar de la Renta Dies aged 82

Oscar de la Renta, a renowned American fashion designer died Monday evening at the age of 82, as confirmed by a spokeswoman for his fashion house. He is famous for his glamorous red-carpet gowns and smart suits.



He recently dressed Amal Alamuddin for her wedding to George Clooney.

First lady Michelle Obama recently wore one of his dresses. He has also dressed previous first ladies from Betty Ford to Laura Bush. 

He'll definitely be missed in the fashion industry.

Photos: Naked Russian artist cuts off his EAR in public




 Petr Pavlenskiy sits bloodied after cutting off part of his ear

29 year old Petr Pavlenskiy who once nailed his private parts to the ground has shocked passers-by after he stripped himself naked and sat on a wall in Moscow, before pulling out a large knife and slicing off part of his ear.


Police arrived quickly and retrieved the knife before dragging him away.

As well as the ear and testicles stunts, Pavlenskiy has previously sewed up his lip and wrapped himself in barbed wire as part of self-mutilation extreme protests.

So far, the artist has not said what his latest stunt was all about.

He was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
