President Obama Saves Michelle From Wardrobe Malfunction

That darn wind can always get the best of us. Especially when you're wearing a flowing skirt.
Such was the case when First Lady Michelle Obama was making her way off and onto Air Force One in Houston, Texas this week. A strong wind gust caught the Obamas off guard, blowing the First Lady's skirt in the air. Luckily, President Obama was there to save the day and avoid a First Lady 'Marilyn Monroe moment.'

Scientists grow vaginas in a LABORATORY and implant them into four teenage girls

  • The new organs given to women born with a condition called MRKH
  • This is rare condition in which the vagina is underdeveloped or absent
  • Treatment could also help patients with vaginal cancer or injuries
  • Organ is engineered using muscle and cells from the genital region

Vaginas grown from four teenagers' own cells have been implanted into them.
The organs are working normally in the girls, who were aged between 13 and 18 at the time of surgery.

They were born with a syndrome that means the vagina and uterus are absent or underdeveloped.
The cells were grown on specially moulded frames.
Dr Anthony Atala, lead researcher of the US team, said: "This may represent a new option for vaginal reconstructive surgeries."
The pioneering treatment was carried out between 2005 and 2008.
All the patients have been able to have normal sex lives.
One in every 5,000 women is born without a vagina, cervix or womb.

Katie Holmes finds love again after Tom Cruise

Katie Holmes supposedly has a new love in her life.

The actress is rumoured to be romancing 34-year-old comedian Jason Segel.
The actor dated her former Dawson’s Creek co-star Michelle Williams from 2012-2013, but apparently this hasn’t stopped Katie from falling for him.
“They're having a great time together,” a source told the US edition of Star magazine.
The new couple met on the set of Jason’s hit show How I Met Your Mother when Katie made a guest appearance back in 2011. But according to the reports, their relationship only became romantic in the past few months. Now that the programme is over, Jason is so serious about his new relationship he is considering moving to New York to be with Katie.
“He's eager to start a family,” the source explained.
Katie, 35, already has one child, eight-year-old daughter Suri, from her six-year marriage to Tom Cruise, which ended in divorce in 2012. The source adds that Jason has already bonded with Suri.

Natural ways to keep your breasts healthy and perky

Breast Health

In a recent study, women had cause for shock and concern as UCLA medical school findings revealed that women’s breasts age at a rate two to three years ahead of the rest of their body. Keeping your breasts perky is already a challenge, without the added knowledge that it’s an uphill battle. Before you schedule a consultation with the plastic surgeon’s office, learn some natural ways to keep your breasts healthy.

• Sunscreen. Most swimsuits and summer tops make the décolleté a prime target for sunrays, and it often gets missed with that slather of SPF moisturizer during your morning beauty routine. Some companies make all-natural, organic décolleté creams, but a broad-spectrum sunscreen will work too. Just make sure to visit the Environmental Working Group’s website, Skin Deep, to find natural, non-toxic products. You don’t want to add to the aging process by slathering chemicals on your breasts either.

• Organic coconut oil. Your breasts need moisture, especially with all the stretching the skin has to go through in the course of a lifetime. Through pregnancy, weight gain or loss, and monthly fluctuations that coincide with your menstrual cycle, you need to nurture the skin on your breasts. All-natural, organic coconut oil is a great choice, and you don’t have to worry about toxins.

• Support. Reports suggest that approximately 80 percent of women wear the wrong bra size. Lack of support can leave you with back pain, sagging and bad posture – advancing the aging process even further. Although monthly fluctuations are inevitable, getting fitted for new bras yearly will help ensure you are wearing the right size most of the time and avoid poor support that can contribute to advanced aging.

• Self check-ups. The single most effective thing you can do in the battle against breast cancer is regular self-exams. If you know your breasts and monitor them
regularly, you can detect abnormalities early and improve outcomes. Each month after your period, schedule a monthly self-exam and note changes in size, sensation, color or rashes, discharge, dimpling or bulges.

• Workout. Strengthening your pectoral muscles is an effective way to get a natural lift in the breasts. Your breasts sit right on top of these muscles, meaning if those muscles are sagging, your breasts will be too – and vice versa.

• Posture. There are so many reasons to practice good posture, and anti-aging your breasts is one of them. Poor posture can cause your breasts to sag and droop, while sitting up straighter can actually make your breasts appear much bigger (and without surgery!)

• Nutrition. Your diet is a key factor for anti-aging, preventing disease and just about anything and everything that has to do with your health and quality of life. Your breasts are no different. Diets lacking in vitamins and minerals cause advanced aging. Vitamins A and C, for example, nourish the skin and promote collagen production, while too much sugar can lead to wrinkles.

• Excess alcohol. Moderate consumption of alcohol has its place, but excessive drinking – even wine – can cause increase in levels of estrogen. Estrogen contributes to increased risk of breast cancer, especially in high-risk individuals. Keep consumption moderate to protect your health.
Aging is inevitable, but diligent care and a healthy lifestyle can turn back the clock a few years and preserve your health across the lifespan.

Bring Your Natural Hair To Life With Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) Rinse

Apple cider vinegar (ACV) rinses are one of most cost-effective and beneficial ways in existence to improve hair health. A good ACV rinse can remove product build up, restore the pH balance of the scalp and hair, promote blood circulation in the scalp–which can stimulate new hair growth and give the hair a soft, healthy sheen.

One of the greatest benefits to those with curly hair, however, is that an ACV rinse will shut down the hair cuticle to protect the inside of the hair shaft from damage. Acidic solutions close the cuticle, which will keep moisture inside your hair and keep prevent frizz.

For maximum benefit, use of only raw, organic and unfiltered vinegar rather than the “sparkling clear” vinegar you usually find on the grocery store shelves. When doing the rinse, I also like to include additional ingredients such as aloe-vera, agave nectar and essentials oils if they are available.

Please be mindful of how acidic ACV is and take this into consideration when you are introducing this method into your hair regimen. If done too often, your hair shaft will begin to break down, ultimately causing damage. I personally feel it’s best to do this practice maybe once a month or every two months at most.

Tips On How To Choose The Best Foundation For Darker Skin

the best foundations for brown skin

Finding the right foundation for dark skin can be tricky. Too dark and you look like a distant cousin of RuPaul, too light and you’ve earned a starring role at your local funeral parlour.

Our major challenge as Black and Latina women is finding a brand that has yellow, olive or caramel tones. But beyond picking the right hue for your face there are a few other factors that you need to consider before purchasing a foundation.

Research the brands. From consumer comments to beauty blogger reviews, someone has already done the work for you. Google the brand and the product name and chances you will find all the answers to your questions and a few answers you weren’t even thinking of. If you’re lucky you’ll even find a YouTube video.

Choose 2-3 shades that are close to your skin tone. Test the makeup above your jawline on clean dry skin. Evaluate if the colour matches in the mirror. The colour should blend with your natural skin tone. Make sure you do not see a big line of demarcation, which is indicative of a poor match. If you do not think you have a good match, continue testing shades until you find a suitable colour.

Take your besties with you. We all love those sales girls but they are sales girls. They have a goal to meet and commission to make. Their opinion could be biased. So treat your best girlfriend to an afternoon snack or a late dinner and spend the day shopping for new foundation.

Ask for a sample. Don’t feel pressured to buy something that day. Ask the beauty consultant write down the color you decided you liked the best. Don’t be afraid to ask for a sample. Wear the foundation home, and see how you like it outside in natural light.

Follow those four steps and I guarantee you’ll have flawless looking skin. Just remember: your shade will change with the seasons, so come summer and winter you’ll be back at it again.

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: Lupita can do no wrong. For her cover, Lupita wears a hot pink snakeskin-trimmed gown by Christopher Kane. Inside she wears a black-and-white optic Dior stunner which she accessorized with a ribbed scarf and a Graziela Gems ear cuff. And in her interview, Lupita is as poised as ever, on the topic of other peoples’ opinions: "Being called gorgeous is not a bad thing! But at the same time, I don't want to thrive on people's opinions of me."

As for her path to fashion darling-dom? It has a lot to do with her stylist Micaela Erlanger, who covered the Hollywood Reporter with Lupita earlier this year. "I wasn't a follower of fashion. It was a world unknown,” Lupita says, “Then I met my stylist, Micaela Erlanger...and we came to interpret my style: clean lines, strong color."

Elle Fanning and Elizabeth Olsen for 'Marie Claire.'

Elle Fanning also knows a thing or two about strong color, wearing a tangerine Fendi dress with jewelry by Graziela Gems and Kismet by Milka for her spread. Fellow Miu Miu campaign co-star Elizabeth Olsen, on the other hand, stuck with neutrals and went with her usual low-key boho look, with unbrushed wavy hair and a beaded Maison Martin Margiela top.

Emilia Clarke and Kate Mara for 'Marie Claire.'

Meanwhile, Emilia Clarke and Kate Mara sparkled the most. On her cover, the Game of Thrones breakout star wears a sequined romper and, inside, she dazzles in a sequined Louis Vuitton dress with a Graziela Gems ear cuff and a royal blue Michael Kors dress. Similarly, House of Cards actress glitters in a gorgeous mint dress with a beaded neckline on the cover and, inside, wears her own royal blue Fendi dress.

Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux 'to wed in Hawaii with only 20 guests'

Jennifer Aniston had strongly considered tying the knot with fiancé Justin Theroux in Mexico.

But lately the 45-year-old actress has had a change of heart and is now interested in getting hitched in another tropical location - Hawaii - according to a Wednesday report from UsWeekly.

The ceremony will still be small with only about 20 people in attendance, added the publication.

Aloha: Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux, pictured in 2012, want to wed in Hawaii, according to a Wednesday report from UsWeekly

Nice view: It has not been specified which island the two will tie the knot on, but the publication noted only 20 people would be invited

The Hawaiian islands are a fond place for the couple, who have been engaged for nearly two years.

In 2011 they vacationed in Kauai where they were seen holding hands and enjoying the laid back beach lifestyle. They reportedly were staying at Ben Stiller's mansion.

'They had a very special trip there,' said a source.

The place has a special place in their hearts: The couple of three years vacationed in Kauai in 2011

Aniston has also worked in Maui, where she filmed the Adam Sandler comedy Just Got With It. The two were spotted at several hotels in the area where they spent several months.

And Hawaii is also where Jennifer has been seen paddle boarding with her friend Courteney Cox several years ago.

Not wedding date has been set yet for the Wanderlust co-stars, but the weekly has reportedly the duo will definitely walk down the aisle in 2014.

She loves sand and sun: The 45-year-old shooting Just Go With It in Maui in 2010

Though Jennifer and Justin have been working on separate coasts - he has been in New York City making HBO's The Leftovers while she has been in LA shooting Cake - they did reunite on Tuesday when he stopped by her film set to see her.

Dressed in a white T-shirt and with slicked back hair, the 42-year-old looked handsome and in shape.

The Friends star has drastically changed her look for her new film role. Instead of long blonde locks she has been sporting short brown hair and no makeup.

The future Mrs Theroux: Aniston, in Hawaii in 2010, will tie the knot in 2014

Not her best look: The Friends star dyed her golden locks brown for her new role in Cake opposite Sam Worthington

What Is The Best Time To Eat If You're Trying to Lose Weight?

The question: To lose weight, does it matter when I eat? Or just what I eat?
The experts: Susan Kleiner, Ph.D., R.D., Sports Nutritionist for USANA Health Sciences; Jacqui Justice, clinical nurse specialist, director of nutrition at Womens Healthy Hormones
The answer: Just like romance and bargain shopping, healthy eating is all about having the right timing.
Sure, a calorie is still a calorie, but how you time those calories can influence your metabolism and satiety levels, potentially making the difference between weight lost and weight gained. “Body weight control is a complex dance between the drivers of metabolism: the brain, hormones and neurotransmitters, and your metabolic processes," says Kleiner. And if any of those factors perceives that you're low on calories throughout the day, it'll slow metabolism, increase appetite, and stall your weight loss efforts.
So first thing's first: Eat breakfast! And not once you get to work—we're talking first thing in the morning. Justice recommends eating within an hour of waking up, and if you can get in some water then, all the better. Both ramp up your metabolism by telling your body it doesn't need to conserve energy (aka calories). If your stomach is uneasy in the morning, at least drink some water. Just remember that the longer you wait to eat breakfast, the longer you wait to burn calories.

Next, don't go more than three hours between meals and (protein-packed!) snacks. "This will help to keep your blood sugar balanced throughout the day, your metabolism revved, and your energy up," says Justice.

And as the sun sets, so should your eating for the day. "My experience is that my clients that finish dinner by 7:30 lose more weight and have more energy the next day than do my late eaters," says Justice, who notes your metabolism starts to slow down around 4p.m. and hits its lowest point when you're sleeping. After all, your body doesn't have to burn through as many calories when you're zonked out.

Of course, there's no strict mealtime schedule that will guarantee weight loss, but if you're looking to slim down, Justice suggests eating your bigger meals earlier in the day and lighter meals in the evening. Luckily, if you load up on a healthy and satisfying breakfast, the rest of your day—and weight loss—should fall into place more easily.

What's Better For Your Skin: Face Wipes or Cleansers?

The question: Sometimes it seems way too difficult to wash your face—especially when it's so easy to just grab a face wipe instead. When it comes to everyday use, what's better for your skin: face wipes or facial cleansers?
The expert: Board-certified dermatologist Michele Green, M.D.
The answer: Both options are effective for removing makeup, dirt, and oil, says Green. "The wipes are certainly more convenient. But in reality, a cleanser with water probably works much better to actually clean your skin."

That said, they're perfect to keep in your purse or gym bag to remove makeup before a workout or to whisk away sweat and oil on super-humid days. And it's fine to use them once in while (like when you just don't have the energy for a proper face wash)—but Green wouldn't recommend using them in place of your cleanser every single day.

When you do opt for a face wipe, pick a formula without dyes, perfumes, or artificial ingredients, says Green. If your face feels a little filmy after you use them, it might mean it has an extra moisturizer packed in. That's fine if you have dry skin, but stay away from those brands if you have acne-prone or oily skin, says Green. And when it comes to your daily face wash, be sure to stick to the real soap-and-lather routine.

Human Barbie doll a.k.a. 'racist space alien', blames plastic surgery rise on mixed-race marriages

Living doll: Valeria Lukyonova is, we assure you, a real human being

The twisted, plastic world of a Ukranian woman who transformed herself into a human Barbie has been in a startling interview.
GQ writer Michael Idov travelled to Ukraine to meet Valeria Lukyanova, a 28-year-old model who remade herself into a living doll.
But instead of meeting a sweet lady living her childhood dream, he met a plastic surgery fanatic who he describes as a "racist space alien."
Lukyonova admits to using makeup and contact lenses to enhance her bizarre look, and admits to having breast implants.
But she claims her painfully thin figure is a result of diet and exercise - she exists on an entirely liquid diet - and denies having enhanced her waist with surgery.
"Everyone wants a slim figure," Lukyonova told Idov. "Everyone gets breasts done. Everyone fixes up their face if it's not ideal, you know?"
In Idov's eye-opening interview, he delves into the psyche of a woman obsessed with an impossible idea of beauty - and finds a wealth of strangeness beneath the surface.

For starters, Lukyonova blames the increase of plastic surgery on race-mixing.
"For example, a Russian marries an Armenian, they have a kid, a cute girl, but she has her dad’s nose," she said.
"She goes and files it down a little, and it’s all good. Ethnicities are mixing now, so there’s degeneration, and it didn’t used to be like that.
"Remember how many beautiful women there were in the 1950s and 1960s, without any surgery? And now, thanks to degeneration, we have this.
"I love the Nordic image myself. I have white skin; I am a Nordic type - perhaps a little Eastern Baltic, but closer to Nordic."
WENN / Instagram Valeria Lukyanova Justin Jedlica
Barbie and Ken: Lukyanova and Justin Jedlica, known as the human Ken Doll

Interviewer Idov added: "I realise that just like everyone reading about human Barbie I had a simple narrative prepared in my head: A small-town girl grows up obsessed with dolls, etc.
"But instead I get a racist space alien."

12 Years a Slave star Chiwetel Ejiofor is being considered to play the villain in the 24th instalment of James Bond. Official offers have yet to be made but sources report that Ejiofor is the first choice of director Sam Mendes. The movie is slated for a November 2015 release date.
Fresh off an Oscar nomination for “12 Years a Slave,” Chiwetel Ejiofor is the frontrunner to play the villain opposite Daniel Craig in the next James Bond movie, multiple individuals familiar with the project have told TheWrap.
Sony, MGM and Ejiofor's reps at CAA all declined comment.
Sam Mendes is directing the as-yet-untitled “Bond 24,” which was written by “Skyfall” scribe John Logan.

Craig will return to don the tuxedo, while Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris and Ben Whishaw are set to reprise their roles as his boss M, ally Moneypenny and gadget guru Q, respectively.
While Ejiofor does not have an official offer yet and is not in formal talks, he is being eyed for the coveted role and is widely presumed to be the frontrunner amongst the other actors under consideration.

Naomi Campbell is dating 12 Years A Slave hunk, Michael Fassbender....Read More...

Even at age 43 Naomi Campbell is proving that not only is she in top shape, but she can still attract the hottest men in Hollywood.
While looking as stunning as ever on the cover of the new Shape magazine, according to The Sun newspaper supermodel Naomi Campbell is now dating 12 Years A Slave hottie Michael Fassbender.

The two were allegedly seen openly kissing and canoodling at a restaurant with the paper reporting the pair went public with their relationship after they had secretly met up at hotspot Coya on Tuesday in London's upmarket Mayfair district.

A showbiz insider told the paper that the pair were in a cordoned-off area within the members area of the restaurant which gave them plenty of privacy but the pair didn't mind being seen together and were being openly affectionate towards one another.
'At one point they ever started snogging,' the source reveals.
Before the Tuesday night PDA, Naomi had been attending the launch of a fashion exhibition at the V&A Museum in London.

Michael had pre-recorded an appearance on BBC1's The Graham Norton Show and then the two met up afterwards. They made sure though that they arrived at the restaurant separately to avoid being photographed together.
The newspaper's insider maintains that Naomi is smitted with Michael and told friends at the V&A event that she was looking forward to going on a date with the movie star later that night and everyone was desperate to find out who it was with.
Another pal told the paper that Naomi always has famous and rich men chasing after, especially being a supermodel, so it's one thing to go on a date with someone but another if it turns into something more serious.

Michael, who was seen going for breakfast with his father the morning after the IFTAS, only recently was reportedly dating his 12 Years A Slave co-star Lupita Nyong'o, while this could be Naomi's first romance since she split with Russian billionaire Vladimir Deronin last year in May after five years together.
Allegedly Michael's romance with Lupita was more a casual thing that blossomed on the set of the movie but with all of the travelling she has been doing of later since she won the Oscar Lupita doesn't have time for a serious relationship at the moment.

Marc by Marc Jacobs is looking for a new face for the brand via Instagram.

The American label has launched #CastMeMarc, a social media competition which allows users to upload pictures of themselves onto the popular photo-sharing website to be in with a chance of starring in their upcoming autumn/winter 2014 advertising campaign.

A multitude of fans have flocked to Instagram and Twitter since the competition launched on Wednesday (02.04.14) in hopes of being flown out on an all expense paid trip to New York where they will participate in a shoot between April 30 until May 1.

The lucky winner will also score top hotel accommodation in the Big Apple throughout their stay.

The marketing move appears to be part of the brand's overhaul as two new creative directors, British designers Katie Hillier and Luella Bartley, helm the brand while Marc Jacobs concentrates on his eponymous label.

The competition suggests the duo - who debuted their autumn/winter 2013 womenswear collection last year - are looking for a model to embody their new direction for the label.

Brand creates new line of stain resistant white jeans which repels coffee, oil, soda and even red wine

The brand called Joe's Jeans has created a new line of stain resistant white denim, appropriately named Play Dirty, Stay Spotless which repels coffee, oil, soda and even red wine.
'This stay-true hue will repel spills, no matter what surprises your day brings,' the brand explains.

According to Joe's Jeans, the expected longevity of the Spotless treatment is approximately 20 home washes using a mild liquid detergent and a normal wash cycle with low tumble dry settings.
Intrigued and dubious in equal parts, the FEMAIL team took the white jeans for a test drive to see if they could really live up to their claims.

While a residual light brown mark was left behind, a quick wipe with a napkin saw any coffee left behind disappear.
'It is literally magic,' smiled FEMAIL writer Annabel Maud in suspended disbelief.
However, the denim line, which ranges from $145 for jean shorts to $189 for an office-appropriate trouser style, does come with a disclaimer: The garment will not repel pigment-based colour stains such as lip gloss, makeup, nail polish and paint.

'While some staining may occur with liquids containing colour, these stains can be removed easily when dry cleaned,' the company adds.
Made from ProModal, a denim fibre blend known for its softness and functionality, and cotton, the jeans have a subtle stretch to them for added comfort. And the Spotless treatment surprisingly does not make the jeans look or feel waxy.
Basically, you can be as reckless as you want and still look respectable - for 20 washes.
