YUCK!! Japanese salon launches anti-ageing beauty treatment that involves letting live SNAILS crawl across your face

  • Snail mucus is said to contain hyularonic acid, protein and antioxidants
  • The new facial was invented by Tokyo's Clinical Salon and costs £161
  • Named the Celebrity Escargot Course, it also includes a massage and mask

They have long been regarded as a nuisance in the garden but it seems that snails could be more friend than foe when it comes to anti-ageing.

A revolutionary new facial that involves allowing live snails to slither across the complexion has been hailed the next big thing in beauty thanks to the glow-boosting properties of snail mucus.

The mucus, which contains a mix of powerful proteins, antioxidants and hyularonic acid, is said to help skin retain moisture, soothe inflammation and remove dead skin.

Slimy: Snails are applied to the face after cleansing during Japanese treatment, the Celebrity Escargot Course

Anti-ageing: Snail mucus contains a cocktail of youth-boosting ingredients including hyularonic acid

Effective: The new treatment is also believed to help tackle sun damage

During the 60-minute treatment, which is offered at the Clinical Salon in Tokyo, the face is cleansed before snails are placed on the cheeks and forehead and allowed to move around as they please.

The facial, named the Celebrity Escargot Course, costs £161 and also includes a series of facial massages, masks and the use of an electrical pulse machine.

'Snail slime can help the recovery of skin cells on the face, so we expect the snail facial to help heal damaged skin,' Yoko Miniami, sales manager at Tokyo's Clinical Salon which offers the treatment, told the Sunday Telegraph.

The substance is also believed to help tackle sun damage, according to Ms Miniami, who said: 'We are interested in the fact that snails have a function that can help heal skin damaged by ultraviolet rays.'

According to Ms Miniami, the salon also uses creams infused with snail slime provided by the salon's five resident snails which are fed on organic vegetables, including carrots, spinach, Swiss chard and Japanese komatsuna greens.

Disgusting though it might sound, snail slime isn't a recent addition to the anti-ageing arsenal and was first used more than 2000 years ago.

According to records left by early doctor Hippocrates, crushed snails mixed with sour milk were used to treat skin inflammation, while more recently, products infused with mollusc slime have proved popular in Japan and South Korea.

Despite the long history of snail slime as a beauty treatment, the Clinical Salon's effort was apparently inspired by Mount Fuji's recent elevation to UNESCO World Heritage status.
Would you go for this treatment girls? or is it too yucky for you? Comments please!!

Toddler found alive inside public pit toilet @ Ibadan

Residents of Atenda community, Salvation Primary School, Kube, behind New Castle Hotel in Ibadan were shocked when they found a toddler crying in a public toilet in the area.

It was learnt that the baby girl, whose mother had yet to be identified, was found by a young boy who went to defecate in a public toilet in the area.

The boy (name not disclosed) said he heard the crying of a baby in the pit at the time he got to the toilet.

He said, “I heard the crying of the baby. I could not understand what was happening. The baby was crying at the time I got there. I cried for help and the people came around to see what went wrong”.

Our correspondent gathered that some members of the landlord association in the community rescued the baby girl.

The incident has since been reported at the Yemetu Police Station, Ibadan.

A resident, who gave his name as Odeyale, said, “We broke the pit and brought her out. The baby is still alive; we took her to University College Hospital where the doctors confirmed that he was alright.

“The baby has been taken to the Child Care Unit of Juvenile Correctional Institute.”

A Social Welfare officer at the centre, who simply gave his name as Kolajo, said the centre would help reduce cases of abandoned babies in the state.

In 2011, the actor sensationally admitted that he was 'lucky to be alive' after he went to rehab as a teenager for alcohol addiction.
Cory admitted he skipped school to get drunk and smoke pot when he was just 13-years-old and quit his education at the age of 16.
By the time he was 19, the TV singing sensation was undergoing a stint in rehab to battle his demons.
Speaking about his former drug habit, the actor said he did 'anything and everything - as much as possible. I'm lucky to be alive.'

"We don't touch children, we only burn schools" - Boko Haram denies ceasefire pact with govt, threatens to burn more schools

The Boko Haram sect has denied entering into any ceasefire agreement with the Federal Government.

The group stated this in a new video by its leader, Abubakar Shekau. The video is available to AP and quoted by Huffington Post.

“We will not enter into any agreement with non-believers or the Nigerian government,” Mr. Shekau was quoted as saying in Hausa language.

Mr. Shekau’s statement contradicts that of the federal government.

The Minister of Special Duties and chairman of the presidential task force negotiating with the group, Kabiru Turaki, had said the group had agreed to a ceasefire with his committee. He said the ceasefire would soon be signed publicly with the group.

Mr. Turaki had, however, said his committee did not meet nor negotiate with Mr. Shekau directly, but negotiated with his deputy.

To burn more schools:

Mr. Shekau also said in the video that his group was not responsible for killing of school children in Borno and Yobe States.

“We don’t touch small children, we only burn the schools,” he said. “Our religion does not permit us to touch small children and women, we don’t kill children.”

The sect leader’s claim tallies with that announced by Mr. Turaki, who said the sect told his committee that they were not responsible for the attack on a government secondary school in Mamudo. About 28 students and a teacher were killed when gunmen attacked the school, weeks after similar attacks in other parts of Yobe and Borno. Most of the Mamudo students were burnt alive, witnesses had said.

Mr. Shekau, however, said he supported the attacks on the schools and his sect would “burn down the schools, if they are not Islamic religious schools for Allah.”

The Boko Haram leader also said his sect would attack and kill teachers teaching western education.

Attacks by Boko Haram and gunmen have continued- although to a lesser degree, according to residents- in Borno and Yobe despite the declaration of a State of Emergency in the states by President Goodluck Jonathan almost two months ago.

The Edo State Police Command, on Saturday, confirmed the arrest of a man identified as Endurance Enadeba, for allegedly killing his wife, Osarumwense, over timing of breastfeeding of their barely one week old twins.

The couple was said to be preparing for the christening of the twins, which should have held on Saturday (yesterday).

It was gathered that the incident happened on Friday night, when Enadeba allegedly hit his wife on the head with an object, resulting in her death.

Michael Jackson's butt 'so scarred from long-term drug injections his doctor's needle nearly broke when he tried to give him a shot'

  • The incident occurred in 1993 during the singers 'Dangerous' tour
  • Jackson routinely took 10 milligram injections of morphine, non-addicts usually need only two milligrams
  • Led to Elizabeth Taylor flying to Mexico City to help stage an intervention

Michael Jackson’s prolific drug use led to a needle almost breaking when a doctor once tried to stick a syringe in his buttocks.

Scarring and abscesses from decades of drug abuse thickened the skin in Jackson’s buttocks to the point it almost built a defense against needles, according to a deposition in Katherine Jackson’s wrongful death civil suit against concert promoter AEG.

The deposition dates back to February, with Dr. Stuart Finklestein telling all about the deceased pop star’s voracious appetite for drugs.

Determined: Michael Jackson died June 25, 2009 while in rehearsals for a comeback tour

Jackson’s trouble with needles began to rear its ugly head during his ‘Dangerous’ tour in 1993, when Finklestein oversaw medical care for the pop icon, according to TMZ.

‘I attempted to give [Michael] a shot of Demerol [a painkiller] but his buttocks were so scarred up and abscessed that the needle almost bent,’ Finklestein testified.

In his prime: Jackson was one of the most popular singers in the world from the 1980s to the 1990s

Finklestein testified during the Katherine Jackson’s wrongful death lawsuit against concert promoter AEG, which she claims is liable for allowing her son’s raging drug addictions to ultimately kill him. The jury only saw the testimony this week, TMZ reported.

‘Significant, extensive’ drug injections for a prolonged period of time are what lead to the deformation of the singer’s buttocks, Finklestein added.

Without prompting, Finklestein added ‘I thought he had an opiate problem’ before saying that Jackson routinely consumed 10 milligram doses of morphine before explaining that the average starting dose is about two milligrams.

Better times: Jackson joking with first lady Nancy Reagan during a 1984 appearance at the White House

‘We thought he needed an intervention, he needed to be detoxed,’ Finklestein added, noting that Elizabeth Taylor flew to Mexico City that soley for the purpose of helping the ailing Jackson come clean.

Oddly enough, the doctor testified Jackson was not only coherent and talkative, but that the two grown men watched the ‘Three Stooges’ and had squirt gun fights as well.

Jackson died June 25, 2009 in Los Angeles, CA while rehearsing for the 'This Is It' comeback tour.

TB JOSHUA - Why Al Mustapha rushed to visit me straight from prison

T.B. Joshua: "Why I Am the First Person Al-Mustapha Came to See After Kirikiri"

He didn't even bother to change his clothes after being released from the Kirikiri Maximum Prison, spending over ten years behind its walls. No, Hamza Al-Mustapha rushed to see the famous Lagos prophet, leader of the Synagogue, Church of All Nations, T.B. Joshua. The Prophet gave this interview in his ministry in Ikotun Egbe.

Can you tell us the purpose of Mustapha's visit to you?
I got to know him many years ago when a petition was addressed to General Bamaiyi who was the then Chairman of the NDLEA.
As you know, several efforts had been made by my detractors to bring me and my ministry down. One of those efforts was that petition. I was arrested for investigation and it was later discovered that it was a tissue of lies. I spent nine days with them for investigation and they found the whole thing to be a fabrication. From there, I was taken to Aso Rock (City of Power) to see the president. It was there that I met Mustapha.
I was able to reveal to them who I am by telling them what was to come as a prophet. One of those things I mentioned to them and to Mustapha in particular, was what he went through, though he did not believe me then. That was why when it came to pass, I was the first person he remembered. I told him that he would spend several years in prison and would be finally released which no one else had ever told him.
That is why you see him coming here as his first port of call. Where there is no vision, people perish.
I am surprised you are asking me why he is coming here first. When you look into your archives as journalists, you will find many stories in the past about my visit to Aso Rock (City of Power), while Bamaiyi was Chairman of NDLEA. Many magazines and newspapers published my visions and prophecies on the government and the presidency.
When you know your picture of tomorrow, it will impart a strength to endure your present difficulty. When you know what you are passing through now will not last long, you will endure it. This is vision; this is prophecy. This can only come by revelation. This is what the Bible means by, "Where there is no vision, the people perish." (Proverbs 29:18).

NIGERIA: Why Appeal Court freed Al-Mustapha, Sofalahan

Both were accused of killing Kudirat Abiola.

The Court of Appeal in Lagos, Friday, discharged and acquitted Hamza Al-Mustapha and Lateef Sofolahan of the murder of Kudirat Abiola.

The judgment of the appellate court overturned that of the Lagos High Court which sentenced both men to death by hanging.

In a unanimous judgment that lasted about two hours, the court berated Mojisola Dada, the Lagos High Court judge who convicted Messrs Al-Mustapha and Sofolahan, accusing her of being “stroked to secure a conviction by all means.”

Rita Pemu, who read the lead judgment, said that the Lagos State government, the prosecution, failed to prove its case beyond reasonable doubt.

Supporters of Mr. Al-Mustapha, a former Army Major, who crowded the court room – some of them sat on the floor – shook hands and embraced one another after the court announced its decision. One of them, in apparent ecstasy, screamed at the three-man judges’ panel: “Allahu Akbar! You will live long.”

Two prosecution’s “star witnesses,” Barnabas Jabila (also known as Sergeant Rogers) and Mohammed Abdul (also known as Katako) had given conflicting statements during their testimonies – the duo had narrated how Mr. Al-Mustapha had ordered the murder, but then recanted days later claiming that they made the statement under duress. But Mrs. Dada, the trial judge, had insisted that their evidences were still admissible.

Mrs. Abiola, 45, was shot in Lagos on June 4, 1996 and- as Mrs. Dada held in her 326-page judgment- on the orders of Mr. Al-Mustapha.

The appellate court accused the lower court of allowing sentiments to becloud its judgment.

“It is unimaginable that the lower court did not expunge the testimonies on the grounds of their contradictions,” said Mrs. Pemu. “This court is not interested in politics and its attendant semantics.”

Mr. Al-Mustapha, a former chief security officer to the late military dictator, Sani Abacha, was arraigned in 1999 for conspiracy and murder of Kudirat Abiola.

Mr. Sofolahan, personal assistant to the murder victim; Mohammed Abacha, son of the late Mr. Abacha and; Rabo Lawal, a Police Chief Superintendent, were also arrested in connection with the murder. While Mr. Lawal was left to walk on a “no case submission,” the Supreme Court discharged Mr. Abacha on “non culpability.”

In January 2012, both Messrs Al-Mustapha and Sofolahan were sentenced to death by hanging by the Lagos High Court.

Prosecution’s gaffe

The appellate court stated that there was a “gaping hole” in the prosecution’s case. First, its first witness, Ore Falomo, a medical doctor, testified that the bullet extracted from Mrs. Abiola’s skull was a “special bullet” that could have come “only” from the presidency.

The victim died after a three-hour surgery to remove the bullet and after suffering a second heart attack. Mr. Falomo said that the police took away the bullet “for investigation” and never returned it.

The appellate court noted that the prosecution failed to state the whereabouts of the bullet, get a ballistician to examine the bullet or tender it as an exhibit before the court.

“The prosecution failed to produce the bullet, and there was no explanation as to why it was not available,” Mrs. Pemu said.

Again, Mr. Jabila, during his testimony gave a vivid account of how they, acting on the orders of Mr. Al-Mustapha, trailed their victim from her Ikeja home to Lagos-Ibadan expressway where they sprayed her white Mercedes Benz with bullets.

However, under cross-examination, the witness said he was in Abuja on June 4 but was asked to give such testimony as part of an agreement with the federal government and the Lagos State government. Mr. Jabila said that he was promised a job, house, and security. His wife had been on a N15, 000 monthly salary which was later increased to N20, 000.

Mr. Jabila also said that Yemi Osibajo, the Lagos State Attorney General and the late Bola Ige, then Attorney General of the Federation, paid him repeated visits while in detention, with the latter giving him N100,000 on one occasion.

Mr. Abdul, who had admitted being Mr. Jabila’s driver when the murder was committed, said he was made the same offers by the authorities including a promise that he would not be brought to court – but they reneged on their promise. When he recanted, Mr. Abdul said that he was in Azare, Bauchi State, on the day of the murder.

“There was no explanation for this somersault,” said Mrs. Pemu.

The prosecution’s fourth witness, Ahmed Fari, a retired Police Commissioner in charge of Budget, disappeared when it was time for his cross-examination. His absence renders his evidence and exhibits “of no relevance,” according to the appellate court.

Al-Mustapha’s sins

Mr. Al-Mustapha said that he was arrested in October, 1998 and initially accused of holding the late Mr. Abacha’s properties. After the charge could not stick, he said he was accused of gunrunning, and then planning a coup against the then Head of State, Abdulsalami Abubakar.

Finally, in 2004, Mr. Al-Mustapha said that he was accused of planning to overthrow the Olusegun Obasanjo regime. He said that he was blackmailed by people “in high places” even though he had been cleared by all the 10 panels he faced.

The appellate court said that although the prosecution’s first witness stated that it was the “fifth columnist” that killed Mrs. Abiola; he did not suggest any conspiracy involving Messrs Al-Mustapha and Sofolahan.

The court further said that there was nothing to show that the police investigated Mrs. Abiola’s murder properly.

“I wonder why PW2 (Mr. Jabila) was treated as a prosecution witness instead of charging him with murder,” Mrs. Pemu said. “In the face of all these, can it be said that the prosecution had proven its case beyond reasonable doubt?”

In his reaction to the judgment, Olalekan Ojo, counsel to Mr. Sofolahan, said that the judgment had “brought sanity to the criminal justice administration in this country.”

Omotola - "My Husband Gets Jealous When Other Guys Kiss Me"

It is no doubt that not many men would allow their wives to take up acting as profession and the reason is not far-fetched. With the jealous nature of men, it is very rare to see a man accepting another man cuddling or touching his wife all in the name of acting or practising a profession she likes.

That is why it is very common in this part of the world to see actresses dumping acting shortly after getting married. Most of the men they marry tend to kick against the profession after they must have said ‘I do’.

Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, who is married to a pilot, Capt Mathew Ekeinde is one of the sexiest screen divas in the movie industry in Nigeria, and most men would like to do anything to have for keeps.

When in front of the camera, the mother of four delivers and interprets her role to the letter. When it comes to romantic scenes, she gives her all in making her character looks real, which surprises most of her fans, who wonder how her husband takes such scenes when he stumbles on them.

When asked by one of her fans on twitter, a popular micro-blogging platform, if her hubby gets jealous when a guy kisses her on set, the actress answered in the affirmative.

“Does your husband get jealous when you kiss a guy in a movie?” a fan asked the Ondo State-born actress, and she replied, “Yes, if the guy is cute.”

Now you know how Omosexy’s husband reacts to her romantic scenes in movies when he sees them.

Nollywood actress Shan George...My life, struggles and triumphs

Like every other Nollywood actress, Shan George has had her fair share of scandals. She has been accused of going into marriage and coming out of it over three times, dating younger men and decorating her body with countless tattoos. What’s true and what’ s not? In this interview, the half caste actress shares her painful story with Showtime Celebrity. This is Shan George beyond the scandals.

You have some reservations about the kind of questions journalists ask you during interviews?

Well, people always want to know more about my personal life, my relationships and all those stuff that the soft-sell magazines like to exaggerate. I just think that serious publications should be interested in asking relevant questions.

So, if you were the one interviewing yourself, what would be your first question?

I would ask myself how long it actually took me to get to where I am today; the challenges along the way and how I’ve been able to overcome them. It took me about 15 years to get to this point. However, one major challenge I have always faced as an actress has to do with not being at home all the time and playing roles in movies that are opposed to my character.

Shan George

Let’s assume you were born in a Christian home and you imbibe what you were taught from when you were a kid. All of a sudden, because of your profession, you are called to be a Buddhist or a mermaid. You are talking about being something you have never experienced. I have never seen a mermaid or transformed into a mermaid before, but I’ve acted as one. You have to try and figure out how they talk, walk, smile and so on.

Another challenge is when you go to the extent of interpreting whatever role you’re given to play in movies. People who watch the movie tend to associate you with that character. I’ll never forget an experience I had at Alade market, in Lagos, a few years ago. I went there to buy some things like every other person, but suddenly, some people started throwing rotten tomatoes at me.

Many others were calling me unprintable names; a loose woman, husband snatcher. All because I played such roles in movies. I’m not like that in real life. I remember I acted a prostitute in the movie, Outcast. After the film was released into the market, I got a call from a guy based in Italy who told me that he just watched the movie, and he thought I was really hot. He said he would want to enjoy such a gesture like the guys in the movies any time he storms Nigeria.

There are so many other challenges. You are seen playing roles where you are really rich with several big cars and houses at your disposal. People assume you’re like that in real life, but it’s not always true. Everywhere you go, people expect you to settle ‘agberos’ and drop something, but it doesn’t work like that. That is the reason some practitioners tend to spend money they don’t have just to meet the expectations of their fans.

Have you ever lost a sense of identity because of the different roles you play in movies?

Acting is a job. As soon as I’m done with interpreting my role, I become myself again. I have never had the experience of being confused about my own identity. I know that many of my colleagues actually get cut off from reality; they want to be like what people expect them to be or spend the kind of money people expect them to spend. And so, they have to do one or two things that they ordinarily wouldn’t have done. But you can’t really get to know someone by watching that person on the screen.

So, what’s the real Shan George like?

I think everyone should know that Shan George is an ordinary person who was born and brought up in the village, grew up like every other village girl and I was privileged to be part of the movie industry at a time I found myself in it. I have been favoured by God in the industry. When you talk about a typical village life, I have experienced it and when you talk about living in a castle, I have also enjoyed the privilege.

To be candid, the most interesting life is the village life. In the village, there are no fences, no gates, and no walls in between houses. We collectively go to the same farm, and fetch water from the same stream. It was a communal existence. I still travel home once in a while to identify with my roots. I am from Ediba in Abi Local Government Area of Cross River State.

What was growing up like?

It was quite enjoyable. It’s just that I wish I knew my father. I’m the only child of my mother, and my father was a whiteman. My mum is a very wonderful person, but I guess there is always going to be that part of me that keeps wondering who my father is. I tried several years to trace his whereabouts to no avail. While in search of him, I once travelled to where he used to work then, Turner’s Asbestos in Enugu.

The company consulted their files and brought out his old address in Manchester. Consequently, I travelled to Manchester in search of the man that fathered me. But my mission was not accomplished. I even had to cross-check phone books and called about 100 phone numbers, all in the bid to trace his whereabouts. One question I asked each time I called any of the numbers was whether any member of his family ever visited Africa or Nigeria in particular. I gave up hope of meeting my father at the age of 35.

What is your take on Nollywood today?

I always tell people not to try to compare Hollywood toNollywood. It is like comparing an old man to a baby. Nigeria itself is a young country and Nollywood is much younger, and so the extent at which we have grown is quite far. Right now, we are growing rapidly and producing movies that are shown abroad. We are doing advanced movies but the only place we are lacking today is in the area of distribution. We have very good movies but we don’t have people to distribute them. I know a lot of people who went to school to study Marketing and they are not practising their profession. The industry has grown rapidly but the marketing aspect of the business still needs a boost.

Don’t you think piracy is the reason for this shortcoming?

Let us be realistic, there are even American movies that are being pirated. Piracy is something I believe cannot function where you have a big community in dire need of it. It’s just like when you want to release a movie for over 150 million people and you only printed about 20, 000 copies. Don’t you think that people living in remote areas would want to watch the same movie?

It is natural that pirates will help them get as many copies of the film as they require by any means. For example, I once travelled to Kano and saw a movie that was just released into the market, I was tempted to buy it. The funny thing was that the movie was recorded in a plain CD and they used a marker to write the name of the movie. I concluded that these sellers didn’t see the original CD for people to buy. I believe if the original products are readily available, the menace of piracy will reduce drastically.

Which do you prefer, being behind the camera or in front of it?

I produced my first movie in 1998 while I was in my final year in the University of Lagos. I studied Mass Communication and I have been writing and producing since then till now. There are different feelings actually. Standing in front of the camera, you are something else; while working behind the camera, you are being yourself. And aside being yourself, working behind the camera involves a lot of work because you have to organise everybody, everything and you are like the head of the family. I love producing more than acting because producing gives me the opportunity to have a platform for new actors. It also gives me the opportunity to write my own story and get it across to the audience.

What’s your advice for those who want to get into the movie industry?

The first advice I will give you is to acquire good education. Education is the foundation upon which you are going to build your future. Secondly, be committed; work hard and be ready to give it your best shot. You never can tell, one thing can just take you to the top. And as a person, you have to agree that you want to do this job and also agree to grow gradually so that you will not get frustrated along the line.

Would you like to address some of the scandals that have trailed your acting career over the years?

It is really crazy. A lot of these things are not true. For example, I have two grown up sons. Anytime people see me pose for shots with younger men, they conclude that as old as I am, I like young boys and that’s not true at all. It is very depressing sometimes. You need the grace of God to hear things about yourself that are not true and still be strong and get going.

Have there been times when you nearly broke down because of what people were saying about you?

It happened many years ago when I was still a toddler in the industry. I remember driving some years back and I saw vendors selling a particular magazine with my photograph and a caption that read: “Even Pastors love my boobs.” That day was so sad for me. I couldn’t even believe that I was the one they were writing about.

What about the multiple marriage scandals; is there any truth to them?

There was a time someone called to congratulate me on my new marriage. I was shocked. My first marriage was when I was 16, and I don’t count that because I was a child and I had no say in the matter. The ideal thing is that as an adult, you meet someone you like and you get married to him. What happens most times is that I act a movie where I get married, the pictures go viral online and everyone says I am married again.

And I am amazed because I wonder, people who read this, don’t they calculate the years? I married once and my two kids are for my first husband. I read on some blogs that I had a child out of wedlock and I have been hiding it. But I wonder if I got married at the age of 16, at what age did I have that child? I was so young when I walked out of my first marriage to pursue my education. Later on, as an adult, I got married again, but we aren’t really together anymore. Marriage can be complicated.

What was it like being married at such a young age?

Being married at the age of 16 was just like a child still living with her parents. It was more like an obligation. I don’t really want to talk about it because of my children.

What is your relationship status now?

I have someone who is very nice and important to me. So, I guess you can call that a romantic relationship. I have always known this guy and he has been there for me.

Would you like to get married again?

Of course, I would.

How do you manage to look so good at 43?

Because the job is very stressful, I don’t really add much weight. But because I’m slim doesn’t mean that I’m fit. I can be very lazy about exercise. However, I am very careful about what I eat; that’s why am not very fat.

What are your sons like?

My first son is an Economist; he is still in the UK and has refused to come back home. My second son actually is into music. He read Music Engineering and Production in London and now, he is in Nigeria trying to pursue a career in music.

What is it with you and tattoos?

Tattoos are a way for me to express myself. People wear clothes, fix their hair or nails; but for me, I love tattoos, that’s who I am. I have just two permanent tattoos, but sometimes I wear artificial tattoos depending on my mood.

Apart from movies what else are you interested in?

I used to own a boutique but am not fashionable. I don’t know how to sew, but I can draw and create designs. I have passion for putting smiles on the faces of people around me. I would love to be in a place where everybody is cared for. Not one person having all that others will worship. I am working on the release of my new movie, “Finding Good luck.” I am hoping to release it on DVD. It is in the cinemas already and this is a movie that has got to do with the image of the Nigeria Police and how people generally relate with the average policeman and how it should be at the end of the day. I hope the movie will better the lives of some people.

Horror at the bull run ...A RAMPAGING bull causes havoc as it gores one runner

Bloodied ... runner is skewered by rogue black bull

A RAMPAGING bull causes havoc as it gores one runner for half a minute before bystanders drag the bloodied victim to safety.

The raging beast used its horns to pin the Spanish bull runner to the floor before tossing him into the air in front of horrified onlookers.
Fellow thrill-seekers tried to pull the half-ton black bull away by its tail as it skewered the man on the cobbled streets.
They eventually dragged the wounded runner, trousers now round his ankles, by his feet away from the crazed bull.

The beast made several more attempts to charge people before he was guided along the streets to join the rest of the pack.
Two other people, including a 20-year-old American tourist and a Spaniard, were skewered during the sixth bull run of Pamplona’s annual San Fermin festival.
These were the first gorings of the week-long event when thousands of runners – mainly men – flee from six charging bulls on the Spanish town’s medieval streets.
Another American, 48, and two Spaniards were rushed to hospital in falls and trampling during the frenzied event.

Hordes of runners dress in white with red kerchiefs around their necks after drinking all night before the manic dash.
Dozens of people are injured each year in the “encierros,” as the runs are called in Spanish with most injured after tripping and falling in the rush.
The yearly festival started on Sunday and includes a daily bull run which sets off at 8am and lasted for just under five minutes on Friday.

The bulls, who are released from a pen, hurtle along the 850m course as part of a tradition dating back to the 13th century which has seen 15 people killed since records began in 1924.
In 2009 a 27-year-old man from Madrid was the last person to be killed on a run after being gored in the neck.
San Fermin festival attracts visitors from around the world and is one of hundreds of bull-running fiestas held around Spain every year, made famous by Ernest Hemingway's novel, The Sun Also Rises.

Ireland passes historic abortion bill allowing it in limited circumstances

A Pro-Life campaigner demonstrates outside the Irish Parliament ahead of a vote to allow limited abortion in Ireland, Dublin July 10, 2013

Ireland’s parliament has passed an historic abortion bill by 127 votes to 31. It will now be sent to the rubber stamp Senate where passage is assured.

President Michael D. Higgins will pass it into law or he may refer it to the Supreme Court to test its constitutionality.

The bill called The Protection of Life During Pregnancy Bill came about to satisfy a 1992 Supreme Court judgement known as the X case where a suicidal 14 year old was raped and refused travel to Britain to have an abortion.

The Supreme Court ruled that abortion should be allowed if there was a threat to the mother’s life or if she was suicidal.

Nothing was done to give a legislative framework to the decision however, until the Bill was drawn up following the death of Savita Halappanavar, an Indian dentist who passed away of sepsis in a Galway hospital in October of 2012.

She was denied an abortion as she miscarried 17-weeks into her pregnancy and she later died.

Despite pleading for an abortion she was told it was not allowed because "Ireland is a Catholic country."

Five members of the ruling Fine Gael party refused to vote with the government and were dismissed from the party.

European Affairs Minister Lucinda Creighton was the most high profile after she voted against the bill over the suicide clause. She was replaced by Paschal Donohoe as minister.
Creighton said after her resignation: "It's very disappointing and I would rather that I wasn't here.

For me, this is a very important piece of legislation, one which is against a commitment that we made at the last election - a promise had been made, a very fundamental promise - on abortion.

"I just felt that I couldn't remove from that promise that we made at the last election."

She said it "was not possible" to compromise on matters of "life and death."

Sinn Fein member Peadar Toibin also voted against his party’s whip and is likely to be expelled.

A 14-year prison term for procuring an abortion outside the narrow guidelines is also part of the bill.

That replaces a penal servitude for life sentence in the old legislation. Liberal opponents had argued against any prison sentence

Woman Arrested WIth Cocaine Taped To Butt

Dora Anna Gutierrez

A Phoenix woman was caught Tuesday allegedly trying to smuggle three pounds of cocaine into Arizona by taping it to her butt, the Associated Press reported.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials say Dora Anna Gutierrez, 39, was carrying about $24,000 worth of drugs.

Gutierrez isn't the first person accused of getting creative when it comes to smuggling. Last month, on Oklahoma woman pleaded guilty to not only hiding three bags of meth in her butt, but concealing a loaded handgun in her vagina.

In November, a Delaware man was accused of hiding crack and marijuana in his prosthetic leg.

Murder Suspect of LAUTECH Student Paraded by Police

Oyo State Police yesterday paraded Alex Akinyemi, an alleged accomplice in the killing of a student of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomosho, Miss Seun Adaramoye.

The remains of Adaramoye were found by passersby near a guest house at Under-G area of Ogbomosho on June 20, 2013.

Assistant Commissioner of Police, State Criminal Investigation Department, Iyanganku, Ibadan, Dansuki Galadanchi, said upon investigation, the owner of the guest house where the corpse was found told the police that his security guard was involved in the murder.

Galadanchi said, “When the owner of that guest house heard about the incident, he called the CCTV engineer to play back the video camera recording.

“He saw where one of his security men, Alex Akinyemi, carried the corpse. He quickly reported the matter to the police.

“On the receipt of the case, police swung into action and the security guards, namely Dauda Aliyu and Samuel Ojo, were arrested.

“When the CCTV was played back, they (guards) identified the person in the film to be one Alex Akinyemi, a day guard at the guest house at Under-G area of Ogbomosho.”

He explained that the security guard was arrested on July 6 in Ogbomosho.

He added that the corpse of the student was removed and taken to LAUTECH teaching hospital for post mortem.

Galadanchi said efforts were being intensified to arrest the fleeing suspect, Charles Aregbesola, while further investigation was being conducted.

The suspect, however, insisted that he was not the killer, saying another man he identified simply as Segun, was responsible.

Akinyemi said, “I have been working as a security guard in this guest house for over two months.

“I only know Segun aka police, as a resident of that area before I saw him dropping the corpse around 8am that day.

“He threatened to kill me with an axe that he was holding that day if I reported him to the police. He promised to give me N500, 000 but he did not give me.”
