Beyonce reads her letter to Michelle Obama in new campaign video:

 "I am proud to have my daughter grow up in a world where she has people like you to look up to," Blue Ivy's mom, Beyonce says in a letter she wrote to Michelle Obama which was first posted in Beyonce's blog way back in April this year.

She described Michelle as "the ultimate example of a truly strong African-American woman.....She is a caring mother, she's a loving wife, while at the same time, she is the first lady. No matter the pressure, and the stress of being under the microscope, she's humble, loving and sensitive," the letter continues.
At the time, Michelle responded on Twitter,  “Thank you for the beautiful letter and for being a role model who kids everywhere can look up to.”

This is Stubbs, a cat that was awarded an honorary Mayor title in Talkeetna, a town in Alaska.

Residents of the town which has a population of just about a nine hundred people thought the candidates running for mayor were not just worth it and so as a way of expressing their feelings, campaigned to get the 15-year-old cat the honorary position after he was born.

Stubbs has now become one of the longest-serving mayors in America.
He is a big celebrity in the little town attracting visitors to the town and promoting tourism. He even has a facebook account with more than 1000 friends!

Now, that is weird!! What do you think, peeps? Should we start replacing those candidates that are not up to scratch with cats, dogs?? Just saying...

Filming of Half of a Yellow Sun finally wrapped in Nigeria..

The filming of the movie Half of a Yellow Sun, based on Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie's novel about Nigerian-Biafra war of the 1960s, has finally wrapped.

The movie starring Chiwetel Ejiofor, Thandie Newton, Anika Noni Rose and Genievieve Nnaji, was adapted for the screen by novelist and playwright Biyi Bandele. It is expected to be out in the theaters next year.

The usually quiet british x-factor star tweeted last night ...

"The same people that worked me so much I collapsed and had to say stop!!! I need to see my children you need to give me time off vile!!!"

"Was so exhausted I couldn't physically walk on my own but was still told I had to work!!!.. Be nice to have a nice new responsible caring management team!! Who care for me and my childrens well being ?#seeyouincourt!!!"

 She said  when she collapsed with exhaustion she was just given a bottle of coca cola and was told to do an interview.

She was referring to her british management company, Modest, who also looks after Leona Lewis and One Direction.

Within  a week of breaking her leg in May during a night out, she performed on British Got Talent and Alan Carr's chat show, and then flew to the States to appear on Today Show....that's how busy she has been..what time does she have left for her kids? Can't blame her..
