Fellow blogger, 'Newbie', who attended the show was well impressed, see her review in her own words:
"The first show I attended of the evening was from Nigerian Designer Nonye Lumm of Nonye Lumm Couture. The first thing you noticed immediately was the pulsating vibrancy of African High Life music. Then that’s when the show came alive with traditional fabrics added to the couture designs that made these designs all the more exciting. What made the collection diverse and interesting was the variety. Designs varying from fun cocktail dresses to billowing gowns all with traditional aspects with lace and ruflfles found in most African designs. The use of traditional beading was implemented in everything from accentuating the gowns itself to intricate head dresses."
