Kidnapped Briton Rescued By Police In Okota, Lagos


The British national kidnapped by gunmen last Tuesday, July 16, few minutes after his arrival in the country via the Muritala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos, has been rescued by policemen attached to the Lagos State Police Command.
According to Information Nigeria, the spokesperson for the state police command, DSP Ngozi Braide, had on Friday assured that the Briton would soon be rescued and declined providing further details as she said investigations were still ongoing.

It was learnt that a combined team of operatives from the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, and the Special Intelligence Bureau, SIB, yesterday, stormed an uncompleted two storey building at Okota Isolo suburb of Lagos State and rescued the Briton while a suspect was arrested in the process.
